## Chapter 2: Restarting is Harder Than Starting!
The chat erupted in laughter. Watching a streamer play games designed by newbies was always entertaining. No sane person would spend money on these absurd creations. The game wasn’t large, and it downloaded quickly.
"Look at this game description. Let me read it for you."
"This is a reward-based climbing game designed to hone players' mental fortitude. I hope you can play this game with a smile. After completing it, you can sincerely say, 'very easy!'"
**Ding!**
The game download completion notification sounded, and Yin Ge’s attention shifted to the new game.
"Hello everyone, today we’re playing *Getting Over It*. Let’s see if this game will sink into oblivion as I predict!"
He clicked to start the game, and a man sitting in a pot appeared on the screen.
A black pot, a slightly rusty hammer, and sun-weathered arms. The character, who had lost his lower body, sat in the pot, with the ground being a dirty brown.
"I thought he was joking from the cover, but now I see he’s serious!" Yin Ge said, half-laughing, looking at the main character. The man in the pot could move the hammer to push, pull, and hook to progress.
The chat started mocking the game immediately.
‘There’s no way I’d buy this game. I respect Yin Ge for not wanting a refund already.’
‘What kind of character is this? Who makes such games?’
‘Is this the quality of game design graduates? The industry is doomed!’
"Don’t let him graduate."
‘This is hilarious!’
‘No wonder the creator wants us to laugh while playing. It’s a pure comedy!’
…
"Seriously, what is the creator trying to convey? Perseverance despite physical limitations?"
Yin Ge moved the mouse, making the pot-man swing his hammer. A slight push from the hammer made the character jump a bit forward.
"I have to say, the control is quite stress-relieving," Yin Ge admitted, raising an eyebrow.
He managed to make the pot-man jump up a small hill, finding the process somewhat satisfying.
Ahead was a simplistic tree, standing out amidst the brown rocks and dirt. Passing by the tree, he glanced at it curiously.
At this point, he didn't understand why there was a lone tree there.
The rocky cliff ahead was uneven, with many overlapping stones. Being a seasoned gamer, he quickly understood the game’s mechanics.
He raised the hammer and hooked it onto a protruding rock. With a slight movement of the mouse, the pot-man securely landed on the top of the cliff.
"Hah, that’s it!" He spread his hands, "Ve~ry~easy!"
With just a glance, he grasped the basic concept of this climbing game—use the hammer to reach the top.
Feeling confident, he moved the mouse again to continue, but an overly large movement sent the pot-man tumbling back down to the ground.
**Splat!**
Yin Ge’s expression froze. He looked at his hand in disbelief. Was it really that exaggerated? All he did was move the mouse a bit too much.
"Just a mistake, no big deal. Let's try again." He nodded confidently but couldn’t shake off the previous mishap from his mind.
Despite the soothing background music remaining unchanged, a deep male voice narrated over it as he resumed.
"Well, thank you for joining me on this journey. Whenever you feel like quitting, I understand. Just find a safe place to stop and exit. Don’t worry, I’ll keep your progress saved, even if you mess up."
The chat exploded again.
‘This voiceover is killing me!’
‘I can’t believe he’s mocking us!’
‘It’s just one mistake, and he starts taunting?’
‘I’m buying this game just to leave a bad review and refund it.’
…
Yin Ge’s thought process was interrupted by the voiceover, causing his mind to buzz. This guy was really good at getting under his skin!
Yin Ge laughed out of frustration and cautiously resumed the game. But the more careful he was, the harder it became. The game’s control system was very counterintuitive, with limited joint movements for swinging the hammer. One wrong move could send him flying!
Initially, it was just carelessness. After falling back ten times, his patience wore thin.
Three hours in, he was on the brink of a breakdown!
"Calm down, steady. Hook it, lift, go up!"
Focused, he tightly gripped the mouse, forcing himself to stay still.
The pot-man launched upward, and Yin Ge carefully aimed the hammer at the rocky ledge.
Sweaty hands caused a slight twitch when the hammer hooked onto the rock.
**Screech—**
The hammer slipped, producing a sharp scraping sound, and the pot-man began plummeting.
Yin Ge’s eyes widened in horror.
"No, no! Don’t!"
"Stop! Ooh, ooh!"
"No—!"
As the character fell, Yin Ge screamed in agony. The pot-man crashed past the orange section, furniture area, and the blue sky, landing back on the familiar yellow ground with his hammer raised.
**Duang!**
The falling process took three to four seconds, and even the viewers felt a jolt.
Seeing the familiar barren tree again, the deep voice resumed its taunting remarks.
"There’s no feeling more intense than starting over; it’s like accidentally deleting your assignment the day before it’s due. I’ve done that. Restarting is harder than starting up. If you’ve had a bad day, you might not be able to take this; maybe rest a bit, and I’ll be here when you’re ready."
