Chapter 6: Just Happened to Meet You!

Father and daughter were playing around when Little Moon's tummy started to grumble.

Liu Zixia looked up at the clock on the wall; it was already noon.

Seeing Little Moon's slightly red face, Liu Zixia deliberately said, "Oh, what's that lovely sound? It's like singing."

"Hehe, Daddy, it's my tummy singing," Little Moon proudly raised her little head. "If Daddy doesn't cook for me soon, the singing will turn into dancing."

"Our Little Moon is a born artist!" Liu Zixia laughed, "Let's go, Little Moon. Today Daddy will take you out to eat!"

"Really?" Little Moon was delighted and clapped her hands, shouting, "Let's go, let's go out to eat!"

...

Not far from the entrance of the community where Liu Zixia rented his apartment was a themed restaurant called 'Under the Tree, Meet You.'

The name was poetic, and upon entering, one might find it more of a cafe than a restaurant.

The restaurant was not very noisy. In the main hall, there were about fourteen or fifteen tables scattered around. On the left side of the hall, there were a series of bookshelves, while on the right side, there was a small stage of less than ten square meters.

The stage had a piano, a guitar, and a microphone, but no one was performing, and the music in the restaurant was playing from a CD.

The restaurant was bustling, with only one table near the small stage still vacant.

Liu Zixia sat down at the empty table with Little Moon, ordered a few of her favorite dishes, and started to play with her.

Little Moon played along with her father, but her interest wasn't very high, and she kept glancing at the stage from time to time.

Feeling puzzled, Liu Zixia asked, "Little Moon, do you want to play on the little stage?"

"Mommy's house also has a piano," Little Moon pointed to the grand piano on the stage, a look of longing in her big eyes. It was clear she was missing her mother.

Children are like this; they can't do without whoever they're with and will miss them.

Seeing the sadness in Little Moon's eyes, Liu Zixia felt a pang of heartache.

Thinking for a moment, he called over a waiter.

"Sir, what service do you need?" The waiter was a young man in his twenties, with a sunny smile.

"It's like this, your business is booming, so why don't you have a resident singer performing?" Liu Zixia asked.

The waiter replied politely, "Sir, our little stage doesn't have a fixed singer. Anyone who genuinely loves music can perform on it. Also, if our boss is pleased with the performance, he might even waive the bill for the performer!"

"Your boss is quite interesting," Liu Zixia smiled. "If possible, I'd like to meet him."

The waiter explained, "Our boss used to play music and has many friends in the industry. They often come here to hang out, so he set up this little stage."

"Oh, I see," Liu Zixia nodded, then turned to Little Moon and said, "Little Moon, the food hasn't arrived yet. Do you want to play the piano with Daddy first?"

"Me? Can I?" Little Moon looked at Liu Zixia in surprise, her big eyes filled with eagerness.

"Why not?" Liu Zixia turned to the waiter, clearly indicating his intent.

"Why not indeed?" The waiter shrugged and made a welcoming gesture, "Sir, looking forward to your performance!"

...

By now, all the tables in the restaurant were occupied, and about seventeen or eighteen diners were waiting for a table near the entrance.

The diners were either eating or chatting, not noticing Liu Zixia and Little Moon as they took the small stage.

Seeing Little Moon sitting like a little adult next to him, Liu Zixia asked, "Little Moon, can you play the piano?"

"Uh-huh, Little Moon can play many songs," she nodded her little head proudly.

"Little Moon is amazing!" Liu Zixia said in surprise. "Do you want to play a song for Daddy?"

"Sure, Little Moon loves playing the piano!" Little Moon happily placed her small fingers on the keys in a very serious manner.

Ding~

The clear, pleasant sound of the piano rang out, and Liu Zixia listened intently.

As soon as the piano played, all the diners in the restaurant turned their eyes to the small stage.

When they saw Liu Zixia and Little Moon on stage, some were curious, some surprised, but most of them looked away after a glance, not paying much attention to the father and daughter.

These diners were regulars at the restaurant, familiar with the small stage set up by the owner mainly for his music friends to play around with.

On regular days, no customer would actually dare to get up and perform.

In the diners' eyes, this was just a customer playing around, unlikely to produce any impressive music.

Liu Zixia didn't mind these looks. At that moment, his eyes were only on Little Moon, as if she was the only light in the entire world.

Ding~

The clean, crisp sound continued. The diners recognized that Little Moon was playing a children's song, "Two Tigers."

While it was surprising to see such a small child playing a complete and correct song, it wasn't enough to astonish them.

When the song ended, there was no reaction from the diners, not even a polite applause.

Clap, clap!

No, in a corner of the restaurant, a young couple was clapping.

Little Moon didn't mind this. She politely bowed to the couple in the corner, then looked up at Liu Zixia. Although she didn't speak, her expression clearly said five words:

"Daddy, praise me!"

Liu Zixia kissed Little Moon's cheek and praised, "Little Moon played beautifully. Who taught you?"

"Hehe, Mommy taught me!" Little Moon proudly straightened her small back, a satisfied smile on her face. "Daddy, can you play the piano?"

Liu Zixia pinched her delicate chin and said, "Daddy can't play the piano as well as you, but how about Daddy plays the guitar and sings for you?"

Little Moon exclaimed with joy, "Is it just for me?"

"Yes, it's just for our cutest Little Moon!"

Liu Zixia had been in this world for a few days. He was very grateful to fate for bringing him here, for meeting Little Moon, for meeting this adorable little angel.

With these thoughts, a gentle smile appeared on Liu Zixia's lips. He picked up the guitar, gently strummed the strings, and a melodious tune floated out.

Compared to the previous children's song on the piano, the cheerful and light guitar melody seemed to capture people's hearts more easily.

"We cried, we laughed, we looked up at the sky, the stars still shining..."

In the simple, clear guitar sound, a bright, magnetic voice began to sing. Almost instantly, it grabbed the ears of all the diners present!

Li Yugang, "Just Happened to Meet You!"

Maybe this world's Liu Zixia didn't have Li Yugang's voice, but it was still magnetic, with a quality that quickly made people quiet down and listen attentively.

"We sang the song of time, finally understanding what it's all for..."

As the song continued, the slight chatting and clinking of utensils in the restaurant gradually ceased. All eyes turned to the small stage.

Faces showed various emotions—curiosity, surprise—but above all, a deep admiration. No one had heard this song before, but it was very beautiful!

A few young people, excited and surprised, quickly took out their phones and started recording.

"Who is singing?"

On the second floor, the restaurant owner Zhang Minghao, attracted by the beautiful singing, came down to see what was happening. Seeing Liu Zixia singing and playing on the small stage, he was stunned for a moment.

"Never seen this guy before, not someone from the circle, I guess?"

"Boss!" The waiter, who was deeply absorbed in the music, suddenly felt a tug and turned to see his boss.

"Who is that?" Zhang Minghao asked quietly.

The waiter replied, "Boss, they're customers, sitting at that table... Yes, that little girl is his daughter."

"Oh!" Zhang Minghao nodded, his eyes lighting up as he watched Liu Zixia.

"Because I just happened to meet you, leaving footprints that are beautiful. The wind blows, the flowers fall, tears like rain, because we don't want to part..."

In the gentle melody, the simple and clear lyrics and tune fell into the ears and hearts of the diners, bringing back their deepest emotions: knowing, staying with, and separating from someone.

"Because I just happened to meet you, leaving a decade-long promise. If we meet again, I think I'll remember you..."

As the song reached this point, the diners' faces showed bitter smiles, because they increasingly felt that the song seemed to be singing about their own 'just happened to meet.'

First meeting, whether liked or disliked; staying together, whether happy or difficult, they went through it together; parting, even with a thousand reasons, despite the reluctance, only to choose to leave.

With the magnetic voice fading away, the diners found that the person they had forgotten or buried in their hearts suddenly surfaced.

At this moment, the most missed face in their hearts became clear, and the past laughter and warmth, quarrels and arguments, seemed to float in front of their eyes with the song.

"If we meet again, I think I'll remember you..."

As the song ended, the restaurant was as silent as snow.

Liu Zixia put down the guitar and rubbed his slightly red fingers.

During the performance, many people flashed through his mind, some from

his past life, some from this life, and finally, it settled on Little Moon.

Maybe the diners thought of their former lovers, but for Liu Zixia, in this life, there was only Little Moon.
