SED Chapter 17: Wenxing Entertainment Media Company

After leaving the Matcha Café, Liu Zixia dismissed Bailian Sheng and Su Pangzi, who still wanted to follow him. He first took little Yueyue to buy a few pieces of clothing, then headed home and went straight into his room.

Little Yueyue was well-behaved, sitting in the living room hugging her stuffed animal and watching TV.

Liu Zixia was a rather impatient person. If he had something important to do, he would finish that important task first before resting, playing, or doing anything else.

Sitting in front of the computer, Liu Zixia quietly searched his mind for those classic fairy tales from Earth.

In this world, there were only a few classic fairy tales. Most of the other fairy tales followed the same pattern: either featuring small animals or anthropomorphic plants. There were very few fairy tales based on human characters, and they all lacked creativity.

What Liu Zixia needed to do now was to organize all the fairy tales he had heard or seen on Earth, then pick out some classics and compile them into a collection.

This wasn't just to help his future sister-in-law; it was also in his own interest. After all, publishing meant earning money!

Liu Zixia wasn't at all worried that the publishing house would refuse to publish his work, as these fairy tales had a proven track record of success on Earth.

Unless Wang Xiaotong's boss was an idiot, they wouldn't miss such a good opportunity!

Ring, ring, ring!

Just as Liu Zixia was deep in thought, his phone rang.

He glanced at the phone. It was an unknown number: "Hello?"

"Hello, is this Mr. Liu Zixia?" came a deep, steady voice from the phone.

Liu Zixia replied, "Yes, who is this?"

"Hello, Mr. Liu!" The voice on the other end seemed pleased. "My name is Lang Wenxing, an agent from Wenxing Media. I watched the video of you singing at Lao Zhang's restaurant. It was excellent, both the lyrics and the composition were flawless."

Liu Zixia was stunned and didn't react for a moment: "Hmm?"

"The Tree Restaurant, Just Met You," Lang Wenxing added.

"Oh, thank you!" Liu Zixia said modestly, then continued, "Mr. Lang, I have something to attend to. If you don't mind, I'll hang up now. Goodbye!"

Wenxing Entertainment Media Company is one of the top media companies in the country, primarily engaged in four entertainment sectors: movies, variety shows, advertisements, and artist management.

Many of the current top film, television, and music stars in the country were discovered by Wenxing Entertainment. For those dreaming of stardom, Wenxing Entertainment is practically a holy land.

Wenxing Entertainment, President's Office.

Lang Wenxing, dressed in a sharp suit and looking rather genial, sat in the boss's chair with a phone in his hand. The phone was emitting a busy signal.

"This kid, he actually dared to hang up on me?" Lang Wenxing's face showed an amused expression. "It's been years since I've encountered something like this."

Knock, knock, knock!

At that moment, there was a knock on the door.

Lang Wenxing shook his head with a smile, put down the phone, and said, "Come in."

A tall, beautiful woman in a purple professional suit walked in, holding a document: "Mr. Lang, here is the information you requested."

"Give it to me."

Lang Wenxing reached out and took the document, opening it to the first page: "Liu Zixia, male, born in 1993, from Shanghai..."

...

Yihua Publishing House.

Children's department editor-in-chief Gao Zhuo was full of worry.

Today, the chief editor of the publishing house had a talk with Gao Zhuo, telling him that if the children's department couldn't produce a good work to boost sales in the next quarter, Gao Zhuo would be suspended, and the publishing house would hire someone more suitable for the position.

Facing the loss of his livelihood, how could Gao Zhuo not be worried?

"Sigh, I hope Xiaotong can succeed." Gao Zhuo sighed, feeling very depressed.

Knock, knock, knock!

At that moment, there was a knock on the office door.

"Come in!" Gao Zhuo rubbed his face, trying to look a bit more energetic.

Wang Xiaotong, holding a USB drive and looking delighted, pushed the door open and walked in.

Seeing the expression on Wang Xiaotong's face, Gao Zhuo felt a glimmer of hope and asked expectantly, "Xiaotong, did Mr. He agree to sign his next fairy tale collection with our publishing house?"

Wang Xiaotong shook her head: "Chief Editor, Mr. He won't be signing with us."

"What do you mean?" Gao Zhuo frowned, "Xiaotong, I'm telling you, Mr. He is a magnanimous person. He won't hold a grudge. If you sincerely apologize, he will forgive you."

"Chief Editor!"

Thinking of He Bishu's blatant advances, Wang Xiaotong felt a surge of anger: "That He Bishu is a scumbag... he made some indecent demands on me and then falsely accused me afterward. I won't ever deal with him again!"

"You, you silly girl..." Gao Zhuo was furious. If Wang Xiaotong weren't his sworn brother's daughter, he wouldn't have been so patient with her.

But he had no choice; He Bishu was his last hope.

Huffing and puffing, Gao Zhuo took a deep breath to calm down. Wang Xiaotong continued, "Chief Editor, don't be angry. Listen to me. I didn't go to see He Bishu, but I found another excellent fairy tale author. His stories are very captivating, definitely on par with 'The Wolf and the Hunter.'"

'The Wolf and the Hunter' is one of the classic fairy tales in this world, widely known.

"What?" Gao Zhuo stood up from his seat, "Are you serious?"

"See for yourself."

With that, Wang Xiaotong handed the USB drive to Gao Zhuo, "These are a few fairy tales organized by that author."

Gao Zhuo took a deep look at Wang Xiaotong and, seeing her clear eyes, decided not to waste any more words. He inserted the USB drive into his computer and opened a Word document.

"Little Red Riding Hood":

"Once upon a time, there was a sweet little girl. Everyone who saw her liked her, but most of all, her grandmother, who gave her a red velvet cap. It suited her so well that she would never wear anything else. So she was always called Little Red Riding Hood."

...

It was a picture-and-text Word document. Besides the text, each paragraph was accompanied by vivid illustrations, making the story more engaging and bringing the fairy tale world of Little Red Riding Hood to life.

After reading the first story, "Little Red Riding Hood," Gao Zhuo couldn't wait to open the second, the third... he couldn't stop!

When Gao Zhuo finished reading all the fairy tales Wang Xiaotong had brought, his face was flushed with excitement, completely unable to control his emotions.
