### Chapter 85: No Introduction Needed

"Mr. Ye, do you have some free time recently? How about having a meal together?" Chu Qingci's gentle voice came through the holo-comm.

This was three days after seeing her in the recording studio.

Ye Chui had ignored her for three days, and she finally couldn't resist contacting him.

Ye Chui still hoped for her help in paving the way for Ye Ling, so he naturally wouldn't refuse. He replied, "I happen to be free today. Alright, you name the place, and I'll be there on time."

"Great." Chu Qingci's voice was filled with joy—though he knew this joy was mostly an act, it was still pleasant to hear. She continued, "Let's meet at the Shuangya Restaurant. I have a friend I want to introduce you to."

"What friend?" Ye Chui asked curiously.

"The Music Godfather, Mr. Fang," Chu Qingci said. "You should know him, right? Your song 'Nine Hundred and Ninety-Nine Roses' was spread by him."

"'Nine Hundred and Ninety-Nine Roses'!?"

Ye Chui was stunned. He had only casually sung this song once in a restaurant. How did it get associated with the Music Godfather?

Suddenly, Ye Chui remembered what Fang Xi had told him that night. After he had slipped away from the restaurant, an old man who claimed to be the Music Godfather was stopped by Fang Xi and scolded...

So that old man was really the Music Godfather!

Damn, is he coming to settle accounts with me?

Ye Chui realized that the old man must have heard him playing the song and remembered the tune, which is how it got spread. He hadn't expected to become famous so quickly.

Thinking back, Chu Qingci had approached him in the recording studio because of this song.

"I only met Mr. Fang briefly before, so I must take this opportunity to ask him some music questions," Ye Chui said with a smile.

No matter what, the other party was the Music Godfather and certainly held great prestige in the entertainment industry. Establishing a connection with him would surely make Ye Ling's future career much smoother.

"Mr. Fang has high praise for you. He will definitely be happy to discuss music with you," Chu Qingci said with a smile.

They chatted a bit more and settled on a time and place for the meal.

Of course, Chu Qingci didn't forget to remind Ye Chui to bring the sheet music for "Love's Deception."

Ending the call, Ye Chui had just put away the holo-comm when Fang Xi came running up to him excitedly. "Bro, was that Qingci asking you out for dinner? Finally, I get to see Qingci again! Bro, what should I wear? Should I go for sportswear or a suit? Would a suit be too formal...?"

"...” Ye Chui rolled his eyes. Was it necessary to be this serious about a casual meal?

The development of Double Dragon was going well, and it would be completed in a few days, so Ye Chui had some free time. That evening, he went out with Fang Nan and Fang Xi.

Robert stayed behind to continue working.

That kid was so earnest. He was still touched by the fifty thousand red envelope Ye Chui had given him, showing a strong sense of loyalty and working with great enthusiasm. Ye Chui let him be.

Ye Chui had already learned from Fang Xi that Robert's programming or rather hacking skills were incredibly strong. The encrypted arcade systems at the Golden Sun Casino were cracked by Robert in a matter of minutes.

Ye Chui felt like he had struck gold.

A super hacker, how awesome is that!?

The place to meet Chu Qingci was the Shuangya Restaurant.

When Ye Chui, Fang Nan, and Fang Xi arrived, a young man was already waiting outside the restaurant.

Seeing Fang Nan pushing Ye Chui in a wheelchair, the man immediately approached. "Hello, are you Mr. Ye Chui? I'm Zhou Ming, sent by Sister Qingci to wait for you."

Zhou Ming was about twenty years old, quite handsome, giving off a very sunny vibe.

"Where is Miss Qingci?" Ye Chui nodded and asked.

"She went to pick up Mr. Fang. They'll be here soon," Zhou Ming explained, then led Ye Chui and the others to a pre-booked private room, bustling about to order food.

This made Ye Chui very curious about Zhou Ming's identity.

When Zhou Ming finally settled down, Ye Chui asked, "Zhou Ming, are you Miss Qingci's assistant?"

"Oh, no." Zhou Ming wiped the sweat from his forehead and explained, "I'm actually a singer, signed to the same company as Sister Qingci, but the company hasn't decided to promote me yet, hehe..."

As he spoke, Zhou Ming seemed hesitant to say more—

The company hadn't promoted him mainly because they hadn't found the right song. If he could find a good song himself, the company would naturally invest resources to make him famous. But good songs are rare and hard to come by.

Today, Chu Qingci had brought him to meet Ye Chui in hopes of building a connection.

If Ye Chui was pleased and gave him a good song, that would be fantastic...

But Ye Chui was a master-level talent. How could he just ask for a song so casually?

Ye Chui saw through Zhou Ming's intentions but didn't say much—he only had a few songs in his mind and no spare ones for others.

"Huh?"

Suddenly, Zhou Ming looked at Ye Chui and exclaimed softly, as if he had recognized something but wasn't sure.

"What's wrong?" Ye Chui asked with a smile.

"I thought you looked familiar, but Sister Qingci said you were a master lyricist and composer, so I didn't think much of it. But now I feel more certain..." Zhou Ming's eyes lit up. "Are you Professor X?"

—Ye Chui had been interviewed by the Beijing TV Channel 1, and his appearance had been revealed. However, since he wasn't a celebrity, only game fans remembered his face.

Now Zhou Ming had recognized Ye Chui.

Ye Chui was a bit surprised but smiled. "Are you a gamer?"

Zhou Ming was ecstatic. "You're really Professor X? Oh my god, I can't believe the legendary X-God is also a master lyricist and composer! This is incredible! Of course, I'm a gamer. I've played 'Leilei' up to level nine, and I can now perform the 'Hadouken' move in 'Street Fighter'. I'm even planning to participate in the upcoming Street Fighter tournament..."

Clearly, Zhou Ming was very excited, almost moved to tears.

Ye Chui felt a bit embarrassed, meeting such a devoted fan.

Should he show some appreciation?

But at that moment, footsteps sounded outside, and someone pushed open the private room door.

Chu Qingci entered first.

Beside her was an old man—this old man looked familiar. Ye Chui vaguely remembered that after he sang 'Nine Hundred and Ninety-Nine Roses,' this old man had rushed out of a private room, tears streaming down his face...

"Mr. Ye, let me introduce you. This is Mr. Fang Xuanming, the Music Godfather," Chu Qingci immediately introduced.

"So this old man really is the Music Godfather!" Fang Xi blurted out.

Back then, when the old man chased Ye Chui, he was stopped by Fang Xi and got a scolding.

Fang Nan glared at his brother. "Don't be so rude. How can you just call him an old man?"

Mr. Fang, however, was very amiable, laughing a few times and not taking offense.

Ye Chui was about to speak when Chu Qingci interrupted again. "By the way, Mr. Ye, there's another guest today, someone quite extraordinary. Let me introduce him."

As she spoke, Mr. Fang entered the private room, and a couple followed him.

Seeing this couple, Ye Chui's body involuntarily trembled.

He had been smiling, but the smile instantly turned to a cold expression.

Ye Chui's demeanor even emanated a hint of murderous intent.

"This is..." Chu Qingci continued to introduce.

"No need for introductions."

Ye Chui interrupted her coldly, "He is the eldest son of the Cao family in Beijing, Cao Kang!"
