#### Chapter 69: Our Game is Really Popular
Games are created for people to enjoy, but SB's understanding of games was limited to software. They believed that a high-end, sophisticated piece of software required a long time to master, so they applied this logic to their game. Familiarizing oneself with the game’s operating system took three hours, and mastering it took a week.
It sounded impressive.
But to Ye Chui, they were just a bunch of fools.
Even in another world, those complex systems in large-scale games didn't require that much time to get used to.
"I was a bit worried that their Kung Fu Kid might surpass ours, but it looks like I was overthinking..."
Ye Chui muttered under his breath.
The Kung Fu Kid that Jian Fan introduced didn't even need Ye Chui to release Street Fighter; his original Kung Fu game could easily crush it.
Watching Jian Fan boasting on stage, Ye Chui lost interest.
"Nan Nan, let's leave quietly," Ye Chui whispered to Fang Nan. "After their release, the reporters will swarm again. Let's check out the other parts of the mall."
Fang Nan also felt it was pointless to stay. They came to the entertainment city expecting fun, but Ye Chui’s fame as Professor X turned them into the center of attention, ruining the experience. She also wanted some alone time with Ye Chui, so sneaking away suited her just fine.
Fang Xi and Robert saw Ye Chui and Fang Nan preparing to leave and asked quietly, "Professor, what about us?"
"You two stay here," Ye Chui thought for a moment. "It's only a bit past ten. We agreed to release our game at noon alongside Kung Fu Kid. You two stay and keep an eye on things. Make sure to release the game on time."
Ye Chui had set up a game store, and naturally, he was the owner. Fang Nan and Fang Xi also had certain privileges because Ye Chui trusted them.
Fang Xi agreed, "Sure, Professor. We’ll stick around and play a bit. We'll release the game at twelve sharp."
Fang Nan pushed Ye Chui, and they quietly left the Golden Sun Game City.
The mall had all kinds of branded stores and other specialty shops. While Ye Chui wasn’t keen on shopping, being pushed around by Fang Nan and exploring the mall was quite enjoyable.
Fang Nan, having spent the last month working hard on game development, was also eager for a shopping spree to relax.
Their departure went mostly unnoticed, but Jian Fan, standing on stage, saw them leave. He sneered inwardly, thinking Ye Chui couldn't handle the blow and had left.
After introducing the Kung Fu Kid's operating system, Jian Fan moved on to the main attraction.
"In addition to developing Kung Fu Kid, we invested considerable time and effort into creating a new gaming device. Playing Kung Fu Kid on these devices will provide an extraordinary experience!"
"A gaming device?" Fang Xi was stunned, then cursed, "Damn, isn’t this the arcade machine Professor talked about? They stole his idea!"
Jian Fan continued with a smile, "We are pleased to announce that the first batch of these devices has been distributed to major entertainment centers across the city. Golden Sun has fifteen of these machines. Here’s some good news: these machines are already equipped with Kung Fu Kid, so you can try the game before its official release!"
"Try Kung Fu Kid before its official release?" The news surprised the audience.
"Feel free to try it out!" Jian Fan said, pointing to where the machines were located.
Fang Xi and Robert exchanged a look. Naturally, they were very interested in Jian Fan's game. They quickly ran over to secure a machine.
Reporters and visitors, curious about the new gaming machines, followed suit.
Some reporters looked for Ye Chui, but not finding him, sighed, "He got away!"
At one of the arcade machines:
"What a piece of crap. This operating system is just inhumane," Fang Xi complained after playing for a while. The so-called military simulation system was impossible to master in a few days.
In contrast, their Street Fighter took only a few minutes to operate smoothly. Fully mastering it and accurately executing combos took some time, but the learning process was enjoyable, making players want to practice.
"Not fun!"
Fang Xi quickly lost interest. "Professor was right. Our Street Fighter will absolutely crush them. These guys are just amateurs."
"Yeah, not even close to Professor's Street Fighter," Robert agreed.
Suddenly, Fang Xi's eyes lit up, "Do you think we could buy one of these machines? The Professor said Street Fighter is best played on an arcade machine. I really want to try it."
Robert’s eyes also lit up, "Maybe we can play Street Fighter on this machine."
"What are you thinking?" Fang Xi asked, puzzled.
Robert began examining the machine closely. "This device runs on an SB system. It’s encrypted to only run SB’s games, but I can hack their encryption… Give me a few minutes."
Robert connected two cables from his portable computer to the machine. Lines of code began flashing on his screen.
Fang Xi, also a programming expert, couldn’t understand what Robert was doing.
After two minutes:
"Done!" Robert exclaimed, "Their system is hacked, and I’ve installed Street Fighter."
Sure enough, the screen in front of Fang Xi now displayed Street Fighter.
Fang Xi gave Robert a look of admiration. This guy had some serious skills…
Quickly, Fang Xi's attention was drawn to Street Fighter. He licked his lips and eagerly started playing.
"Hey, your game looks different from ours. What’s this? It looks fun."
"The graphics aren't as refined as Kung Fu Kid, but the gameplay looks intense. What game is this?"
"These moves… Is this Street Fighter by Professor X? Can I play?"
"You’ve been playing long enough. Let me try!"
Soon, a crowd gathered around.
But Fang Xi wasn’t moving. "Robert, go hack the other machines so they don’t bother me."
Robert, ever the straightforward guy, agreed immediately and went to hack the other machines.
Initially, not many people were interested in trying out the arcade machines, and the frustrating gameplay of Kung Fu Kid left them disinterested. However, soon, the fifteen machines were surrounded, with many shouting, "My turn! My turn!" and "You’ve been playing too long, let me try!"
The machines were swarmed.
Nearby, Jiang Fan and Wang Zhaoming were standing together, smiling with satisfaction as they watched the crowd around the machines.
"Our game is really popular."
—completely unaware of what people were actually playing.
"Where’s Mr. Huang?" Jian Fan asked, not seeing Huang Xiaotian.
"Oh, he’s discussing something with the entertainment center’s owner," Wang Zhaoming explained, wishing Huang Xiaotian could see this scene. It would definitely make him happy.
Jian Fan pulled Wang Zhaoming aside, a malicious smile on his face, "I saw Ye Chui and that woman Fang Nan leave earlier. They should be somewhere in the mall now. That sinister guy, let’s go find them and give them some trouble..."
