Chapter 70: Even Together, We’re No Match for Her
"Hammer, how about this dress?" Fang Nan held a light blue short skirt against her waist for Ye Chui to evaluate.
"It's hard to say. How about you try it on for me?" Ye Chui said with a smile.
"Wait a moment." Fang Nan said as she took the skirt into the changing room.
Shopping for clothes with a woman is usually exhausting for men, regardless of whether the woman is a goddess or a tomboy.
But for Ye Chui, it was quite enjoyable. After all, he was sitting in a wheelchair and didn’t feel tired. Fang Nan had a very picky taste in clothes, often trying several styles before coming out of the fitting room, twirling in front of Ye Chui and asking for his opinion. Despite being a tomboy, Fang Nan had a fantastic figure (think Lin Chi-ling standards). Watching her change into different outfits was definitely a delight.
Finally, Fang Nan bought a short skirt and pushed Ye Chui to continue shopping in other stores.
Suddenly, Fang Nan spotted a lingerie shop. She thought about it and realized she needed to buy a few new sets...
Buying lingerie wasn’t something she could ask Ye Chui to help with, right?
But Ye Chui was in a wheelchair, and she couldn’t leave him unattended.
Fang Nan hesitated, but Ye Chui quickly understood and smiled, "Nan Nan, are you going to buy lingerie?"
Fang Nan blushed and nodded.
"Go ahead, I'll wait outside." Ye Chui said with a smile.
"That’s not good. How about you come in with me?" Fang Nan suggested.
Help you pick out lingerie? That sounds great, but Ye Chui thought it over and declined. Going into a lingerie store as a guy would be embarrassing.
Ye Chui saw an electronics store nearby and said, "You go ahead. I’ll browse in this store and wait for you."
"Alright, Hammer, I'll be quick." Fang Nan said and walked into the lingerie store.
Ye Chui then wheeled himself into the electronics store.
Not far away—
“Finally, an opportunity.” Jian Fan smirked, seeing Ye Chui alone.
Wang Zhaoming, puzzled, asked, “Why wait until he’s alone? Wouldn’t it be more humiliating to confront him with his girlfriend around?”
“You don’t understand.” Jian Fan touched his leg, which had been slightly fractured by Fang Nan’s earlier beating and still hurt. “She’s a tough woman. Even together, we’re no match for her, really.”
“…” Wang Zhaoming was speechless. That delicate, pure-looking girl was actually a tough woman?
“Forget it, let's go find Ye Chui.” Jian Fan continued with a sneer, “We must take this chance to humiliate him!”
Ye Chui entered the electronics store, greeted by a row of high-end, sleek screens displaying a static image of a sofa.
As he pondered this, a tall, burly man with a beard approached, “Sir, are you here to buy something? Let me help you.”
“No, thanks.” Ye Chui quickly responded.
“No need to be polite,” the man insisted with a smile. “My son’s legs are paralyzed too, so everything in this store is 20% off for the disabled.”
Because of his son, the man was particularly considerate towards the disabled.
Ye Chui declined several times before the man left him to browse alone.
The store was large, filled with all kinds of high-tech gadgets that made Ye Chui envious: holographic communicators, super remote-controlled birds, and more. But they were all expensive. If it weren’t for saving money for his treatment, he would have bought them all.
"Hmm? A sofa?"
Ye Chui noticed a row of sofas for tired customers. He realized the image on the entrance screens was this very sofa.
"There’s a camera here."
Ye Chui quickly understood. Nearby was a camera transmitting the sofa’s image to the screens at the entrance.
Just as he figured this out, he heard a cold voice.
“Ye Chui, what’s the matter? Where’s Fang Nan? Without her protection, are you scared?”
Recognizing the annoying voice, Ye Chui turned to see Jian Fan and Wang Zhaoming walking over with smirks.
This part of the store was quiet, and their conversation couldn’t be overheard by others.
“What do you two want?” Ye Chui asked coldly. Their hostile approach meant he didn’t need to be polite.
Meanwhile, Ye Chui positioned himself within the camera’s view, ensuring he and his pursuers were visible on the screens.
Wang Zhaoming smirked, “Professor X, aren’t you tough? Ignoring my calls back then, what’s the matter now? Scared?”
“Scared? Why should I be scared of you?” Ye Chui retorted.
“Damn, I hate that look on your face!” Jian Fan snarled, “You’re just a cripple, who do you think you are?”
“Oh, so you discriminate against the disabled?” Ye Chui’s eyes flashed, and he said coldly.
“Yes, I look down on cripples the most!” Jian Fan fell into the trap, announcing proudly, “Cripples should act like cripples. Every time I see one, I’ll beat them up. What are you gonna do, stand up for your kind?”

At the store entrance, the row of screens showed Jian Fan’s gloating face saying these words.
“Crack!”
The store owner, about to drink water, crushed his cup in anger.
His son was disabled, and Jian Fan’s words ignited a fury within him. Veins bulged on his forehead, and with red, angry eyes, he stormed towards Ye Chui.
Jian Fan and Wang Zhaoming were closing in on Ye Chui.
They didn’t intend to actually harm him, just scare and humiliate him.
But Ye Chui suddenly gave a sly smile and pointed behind them.
Confused, they turned around.
The burly, bearded store owner stood before them, grabbing each by the collar and dragging them out like chickens.
“What are you doing? Stop!”
“Let’s talk about this…”
They shouted in panic.
The owner threw them out of the store, yelling, “Damn it, get out! If I see you again, I’ll beat you up!”
Jian Fan and Wang Zhaoming had no idea what was going on but, seeing the owner’s anger, they wisely fled.
“Idiots!” Ye Chui chuckled softly.
