ROSGT Chapter 171: The Comedy Assassin's Murder Symphony Part Five

 ### Volume 1, Chapter 171: The Comedy Assassin's Murder Symphony Part Five

As a top-tier assassin, Blood Fox was known for his extreme mental fortitude. Even if caught and tortured, he would never yield. However, the perception of the dark underworld most people have, influenced by movies, is often exaggerated. While these people can be ruthless, they are still human, and the reality isn't as grim as depicted in films. Torture methods aren't necessarily as brutal.

But Blood Fox now realized that his current targets were truly inhumane.

Being confined in the cramped trunk of a car, enduring endless bumps and jolts, was bad enough. Worse still, Fang Nan had shut the only gap for air, leaving the trunk stiflingly hot. In this sweltering weather, the trunk quickly filled with the stench of sweat. After enduring this for half an hour, Blood Fox vomited, adding the foul smell of vomit to the already unbearable environment.

Opening the trunk from inside wasn’t impossible, but the violent shaking of the car made it extremely difficult to do anything. Thus, he endured the most dark and helpless two hours of his life.

Compared to him, Ye Chui, seated in the front passenger seat with a seatbelt on, arrived at Fengshan safely, albeit drenched in cold sweat. For him, it was almost a heavenly experience in contrast.

Fang Nan helped Ye Chui into his wheelchair. She was still brimming with excitement as she observed the factory buildings ahead, "Chuichui, is this the factory your dad is setting up? It looks huge."

"Yeah," Ye Chui responded, also inspecting the buildings.

This was in Yanjing, the capital, where setting up a factory wasn't easy. Ye Haishan, being experienced in the industry, had used his connections to secure the necessary permits. However, the factory couldn’t be located too close to the city due to various restrictions. After much consideration, they chose this location in Fengshan.

This factory, previously producing certain computer components, had gone bankrupt due to poor management. Yet, the buildings and facilities were still relatively new, requiring only some renovations to restart production. Ye Chui had invested a significant amount of money into this project, but he felt it was worth it since it would manufacture handheld devices, a low-risk investment for him.

As Ye Chui and Fang Nan were getting out of the car, they saw a middle-aged man in a safety helmet walking towards them from the factory. It was Ye Chui's father, Ye Haishan. He looked much more spirited than before, having shed his previous gloom.

As he approached, he greeted Ye Chui while his eyes fell on Fang Nan, who instinctively shivered and nervously asked, "Chuichui, why didn’t you tell me we’d be meeting your dad?"

Ye Chui, amused, replied, "That should be obvious… We're here to visit the factory, so naturally, we’d meet my dad."

"If I had known, I would have prepared more… Do I look okay to meet your dad like this?" Fang Nan began to panic, her face showing adorable shyness as she hastily tidied her hair.

Despite her usual carefree attitude, Fang Nan did care about certain things, like how Ye Chui's family perceived her. Though she often acted tough, she valued traditional virtues like being a good partner. Seeing her future father-in-law, she felt so nervous she wanted to run away.

"Don’t worry, my dad’s really nice," Ye Chui reassured her with a smile.

By then, Ye Haishan had reached them, greeted Ye Chui, and then warmly looked at Fang Nan. "You must be Xiao Nan. I've heard so much about you from Chuichui's mom and Ling. It's great to finally meet you. You're just as wonderful as I heard."

"B-boss…" Fang Nan blushed, looking like a shy bride.

Ye Haishan chuckled and, without saying more, pointed to the nearby factory buildings. "Come on, Chuichui, let me show you around. Some areas are still under construction, but the renovations should be done in about a month, and we can start production."

He then led the way, with Fang Nan pushing Ye Chui into the factory.

In the car’s trunk, a light sound of movement could be heard. Soon, the trunk finally opened. Blood Fox emerged, gasping for air, tears streaming down his face.

This was the third time he had encountered Fang Nan: first, she broke his wrist; second, he was forced to swallow the ying sugar toxin, nearly losing his life; and now this… nearly killed him.

Blood Fox, usually resolute and unyielding, couldn’t hold back his tears this time.

Being confined in the trunk felt like being buried alive in a coffin—absolute torment. Covered in sweat and vomit, Blood Fox was a pitiable sight. Fortunately, no one noticed him. Or perhaps they did and simply didn’t care, intending to further humiliate him?

He sat down against the car, trembling as he took out his diary—a habit he maintained even in such dire moments.

**Blood Fox Diary: August 21st, xxxx, Weather: Sunny. They went too far…**

With his pen shaking, Blood Fox had countless thoughts but only managed to write one sentence.

In a few words, his suffering was summarized, bringing him to tears.

"You've found me, but instead of killing me, you toy with me like a cat with a mouse. This is the greatest insult to an assassin. I'll make you regret this!"

Wiping away his tears, Blood Fox retrieved the case he had been clutching, opening it to reveal several gleaming metal components. Assembling them would create an invincible sniper rifle!

"This gun was specially developed on the black market. Though not as high-quality as military-grade, its lethality is on par. This time, you won't escape… urgh!"

Mid-sentence, Blood Fox felt nauseous and vomited again. By now, his stomach was empty, producing only bile, which splattered onto the metal components.

"Damn it!"

He frantically cleaned the components. The rifle, boasting a range of 2,000 meters, was a formidable weapon. But it wasn’t waterproof. Being a black-market product, its calibration and thermal imaging systems were electrically driven and not well-made, making them prone to short-circuiting when wet.

After a frantic cleaning session, Blood Fox found that the calibration and thermal imaging systems were completely unusable.

"Damn black market merchants! I spent thousands on this, and it’s so fragile!" He felt an overwhelming urge to lodge a complaint about the rifle’s shoddy quality.

Inside the factory, the tour wasn’t particularly thrilling. Having been abandoned for a while, the place had a desolate atmosphere despite the ongoing renovations. Construction workers were bustling about, busy with their tasks.

Ye Haishan explained some of the factory setups and his plans to Ye Chui, who, not being an expert, wasn’t particularly interested. After an hour-long tour, Fang Nan had relaxed and could converse normally with Ye Haishan. Despite occasional shy moments, her usual cheerful and open personality shone through.

Ye Haishan privately praised Ye Chui multiple times for his choice, expressing his approval of Fang Nan.

By noon, they decided not to eat the factory-provided meals, knowing they wouldn’t be great. Ye Chui, therefore, decided to order food and called Mo Feng to bring over some wontons from the Ji Xiang Wonton shop, which had been doing well recently and offered delivery services. Ye Chui had even provided them with a small delivery truck for this purpose.

Being far from the city, most delivery services wouldn’t come out here, but Ji Xiang Wonton was an exception. The factory was an hour’s drive from their shop.

Ye Chui and Fang Nan waited in Ye Haishan’s office until the delivery truck arrived an hour later.

Mo Feng jumped out of the truck, and from his hiding spot in a nearby bush, Blood Fox, who was despondently tinkering with his water-damaged rifle, noticed the delivery truck. His eyes flashed with determination.

"My targets have humiliated me repeatedly. This is the ultimate insult to a top-tier assassin. I won’t let this slide… This time, I’ll strike directly and close to the target!"

Blood Fox, a decisive and resourceful assassin, stood up from his hiding place, holding a stone. He slowly approached Mo Feng, who was unloading the wonton delivery.

Blood Fox intended to knock out the delivery man and disguise himself to get close to Ye Chui.

The smell of the wontons made Blood Fox’s stomach grumble—he hadn’t eaten anything since vomiting.

Approaching Mo Feng from behind, Blood Fox swung the stone at his back with a cold smile.

Bang!

The stone struck Mo Feng’s back forcefully.

Blood Fox smirked, expecting Mo Feng to collapse. Instead, Mo Feng straightened up, turned around, and looked at Blood Fox in confusion.

"Not even a scratch?" Blood Fox was shocked. He had put all his strength into that hit!

His eyes glinted with cold determination as he swung the stone at Mo Feng’s head again.

Before he could strike, Mo Feng slapped Blood Fox across the face, knocking him to the ground, unconscious.

Mo Feng, puzzled, glanced at Blood Fox, touched his back, shrugged, and resumed unloading the wontons as if nothing had happened.
