#### Chapter 172: X-Men Assemble
"Chui, these wontons are really good, totally different from what I'm used to. Is this wonton shop yours? You’ve got a great eye for business," Ye Haishan praised while eating a wonton in the modest office.
Sitting across from him at the table, Ye Chui and Fang Nan smiled. Ye Chui replied, "It's just a small shop I set up. I thought the wontons tasted great and figured more people should get to try them."
"Hey, Chui, you're really getting impressive," Ye Haishan complimented, glancing at Fang Nan, who was eating her wontons daintily, trying to maintain her composure. He felt a sense of family joy.
A knock on the door interrupted them, and Mo Feng entered.
Ye Chui had arranged for over a hundred wontons to be delivered all at once. The shop's business was booming, and wontons were in high demand. Mo Feng had gathered Hong Yong's group to help make wontons with Chen Laoer, ensuring they had plenty in stock. Delivering a hundred portions was no problem.
As Ye Chui and Fang Nan began their meal, Mo Feng, a large and good-natured man, was distributing wontons. Now, with the wontons handed out, he came to inform Ye Chui.
"Come join us," Ye Chui invited.
"No, I'll eat when I get back," Mo Feng replied with a smile, remembering something. "Oh, boss, is there a homeless person around here? Earlier, while unloading the wontons, some guy, probably a homeless person, tried to steal them. I had to subdue him."
"A homeless person?" Ye Haishan was puzzled. "I haven't seen any around here. This place is quite remote. What would a homeless person be doing here?"
"Maybe he saw the factory being built and thought he could take advantage," Mo Feng guessed. "I'll take him back to the city later."
"Alright, you handle it," Ye Chui said with a laugh.
Mo Feng left the office.
Outside, he found the unconscious Blood Fox, who was filthy and miserable. His appearance would convince anyone he was a homeless person. Mo Feng didn't think twice, tossing Blood Fox into the back of the truck and driving him to the city.
Despite his kind nature, Mo Feng had no sympathy for someone who tried to attack him. He dragged Blood Fox out of the truck by his leg, dumped him on the street, and started to leave.
"Hey?"
To his surprise, Blood Fox, who had seemed unconscious, suddenly sprang to his feet and darted into a nearby alley. His swift movements were anything but ordinary.
Mo Feng frowned, sensing that Blood Fox might be more than he seemed.
Back at the Wonton Shop, Hong Yong eagerly approached Mo Feng. "Hey, Feng, did you see Chui? Did you ask him about the next game he's developing?"
"No, I forgot," Mo Feng replied with a smile, having not prioritized the question.
Hong Yong looked disappointed.
"I need you to do something for me," Mo Feng said seriously.
"What is it?" Hong Yong asked eagerly.
"I need you to find someone for me. Be careful not to alert him. This is what he looks like," Mo Feng said, quickly sketching Blood Fox’s likeness.
"Find out where he lives and let me know," Mo Feng instructed, handing the sketch to Hong Yong. "This guy might be dangerous, so be cautious."
"Got it," Hong Yong agreed, noting Mo Feng's unusual seriousness.
Mo Feng had every reason to be cautious. Blood Fox's escape suggested he was highly skilled.
Later that afternoon, Ye Chui and Fang Nan returned to the studio.
Fang Nan, perhaps still feeling the effects of meeting Ye Chui's father and having maintained her ladylike demeanor for too long, drove carefully and politely. Despite a few moments of anxiety, Ye Chui found the ride generally uneventful.
Back home, Fang Nan seemed somewhat downcast. Ye Chui assumed she was upset about being tricked into meeting his father and tried to apologize, only to discover her concerns were different.
"I should have dressed better. And today's outfit wasn’t serious enough. It's all Ava's fault. She persuaded me to buy these clothes when we went shopping the other day, saying you'd like them. I didn’t know I’d be meeting your father today. Does he think I'm not serious?" Fang Nan worried.
Ye Chui laughed, taking her hand. "So that's what's bothering you? Don’t worry, my dad likes you a lot. Besides, your outfit is pretty normal—just a T-shirt and a skirt. Even Xiao Ling dresses like that sometimes."
Blushing, Fang Nan whispered in his ear, "But the underwear I'm wearing is really sexy. It felt weird."
Her face was bright red as she spoke, leaving Ye Chui momentarily speechless. His eyes involuntarily glanced downward. "Really?"
Fang Nan lightly punched his shoulder. "What are you looking at? I won't let you see."
"Then why wear such sexy underwear?" Ye Chui teased.
Fang Nan's face reddened further. "I don't know. Ava persuaded me to buy it, and since I was going out with you, I thought I'd wear it..."
This was one of those inexplicable feelings that couldn’t be easily explained.
Overall, despite the day's adventures, it had been a good day for Ye Chui, especially seeing his father’s factory. Even though it was an old factory being repurposed, it would be quite large once completed. The thought of handheld consoles and possibly even game consoles being produced there made Ye Chui happy.
It was a dream come true for him and a boon for the kids in this world.
After Ye Chui instructed Fang Xi to recruit game studios, Fang Xi and Robert compiled a list within a few days.
They selected five promising small studios from the applicants.
Ye Chui frowned at their quirky names. "Since they're becoming our Wolverine Studios affiliates, they need to change their names."
"I already talked to them. They’re okay with it and are thinking of new names like Diamond Wolf, Wooden Wolf... What do you think, Professor X?" Fang Xi asked.
"Those names are terrible. I'll come up with something," Ye Chui replied. Though not usually good at naming things, he felt this wouldn’t be difficult.
Inspired by his own name and the names of his companies, Wolverine Studios and X-Men Games, Ye Chui came up with names for the affiliates.
"This studio will be Colossus. This all-female one will be Storm. This one will be Nightcrawler. This one Cyclops. And this one Iceman," Ye Chui declared.
"Colossus, Storm, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Iceman," Fang Xi repeated, his eyes lighting up. "These names are so cool. You’re amazing, Professor X."
"Hehe," Ye Chui laughed, thinking, “The X-Men team is almost complete.”
The names were finalized.
Fang Xi went to notify the affiliate studios about their new names and the upcoming electronic contracts. These studios would work under Wolverine Studios' direction, receiving salaries but keeping their work confidential.
Game development, especially for short-cycle arcade fighting games, could be ruined if information leaked, so Ye Chui enforced strict secrecy.
Of course, if the games were successful, Ye Chui would share the profits generously.
After discussing the affiliates, Fang Xi hesitated and blushed before asking Ye Chui, "Professor X, can I ask you something else?"
"What is it?" Ye Chui asked, curious. It was rare for Fang Xi to blush.
"It's about Ava," Fang Xi glanced at Ava practicing yoga in the living room. "King of Fighters is almost done. We’ve been working hard, so I wanted to take her to the amusement park. But..."
"But you're shy?" Ye Chui teased.
"No, it's just... Ava's job. I don't care about that, but... are we really right for each other?" Fang Xi asked, troubled.
Ye Chui, understanding Fang Xi’s dilemma, patted his shoulder.
"If you really like her, go for it. I think Ava’s job is cool. If I could, I’d love to do it myself."
"…"
Fang Xi was stunned. "Professor X, don’t scare me like that."
