ROSGT Chapter 170: The Wacky Assassin's Killing Song Part 4

Chapter 170: The Wacky Assassin's Killing Song Part 4

A car quietly parked not far from the apartment where the studio was located. The driver was Blood Fox. He stared coldly at the apartment ahead, a cruel and sinister smile appearing on his lips. He viewed this mission as a new starting point in his career as an assassin, a challenge that, once overcome, would elevate his career to new heights. Thus, he was determined to give it his all.

During nearly a week of recuperation, he hadn't been idle. He spent a lot of money through special channels to obtain a secret weapon. "With this weapon, and in a forested environment, heh heh heh, you're all doomed!"

Speaking confidently to himself, Blood Fox picked up a box from the passenger seat and placed it on his lap. He opened the box, revealing a series of cold, metallic components. This was a long-range sniper rifle with a thermal vision scope, smart calibration system, and a range of two kilometers—an unbeatable killing machine. Anyone within its range was doomed.

Blood Fox lovingly caressed the metal components in the box as if touching a girl he liked. After confirming everything was in order, he closed the box, quietly got out of the car, and approached Fang Nan's red sports car. Moving stealthily and carefully, he ensured no one noticed him. Stopping behind the red sports car, Blood Fox took a small device from his pocket, operated it for a moment, and with a click, the trunk popped open. He glanced coldly at the apartment before getting into the trunk himself.

Following a target with a second car was a novice's method. A gold-medal assassin like Blood Fox would never do that. In a sparsely populated area like Fengshan, having a car follow from behind, no matter how well hidden, would easily be spotted, especially by such a skilled target. Following in a car was the worst strategy. The best method was to hide directly in their vehicle!

Though cramped and uncomfortable in the trunk, Blood Fox didn't mind at all. He didn't close the trunk completely but left a small gap for air. People generally wouldn't check if a trunk was fully closed. "As an assassin, patience is crucial. I once lay in a field for two days for an assassination. Hiding in a trunk is nothing!"

Hugging the box, Blood Fox thought, "To Fengshan, it's just two hours. Piece of cake."

About ten minutes after Blood Fox hid in the car, Fang Nan pushed Ye Chui out of the apartment. Sometimes, Fang Nan could be oblivious. She didn't realize that this factory visit meant meeting Ye Chui's father, essentially meeting her future father-in-law. She was just excited to go on another "joyful" drive with Ye Chui.

Since breakfast, Ye Chui had been suggesting they take the bus to the factory, as Fengshan was somewhat of a tourist spot with daily buses. But Fang Nan insisted on driving. "Taking the bus is tiring," she said. —The key issue was not the bus being tiring, but her driving being terrifying.

The trip to Fengshan would take two hours. Just a few minutes in Fang Nan's car was usually enough to be frightening. Two hours…

"Nan Nan, let's take a cab. I can't bear to let you drive," Ye Chui made a final effort. "No way!" Fang Nan insisted, slapping the back seat—accidentally closing the gap Blood Fox had left for air. Blood Fox: "..."

Fang Nan continued, "Chuichui, don't you trust my driving skills?" "Of course I do…" He wouldn't dare say otherwise. "Then let me help you into the car." Fang Nan smiled sweetly, forcefully helping Ye Chui into the car, folding his wheelchair into the back seat. She then got into the driver's seat.

Ye Chui made a last-ditch effort, opening the window to call out to Fang Xi, "How about you come with us and drive?" "Chuige, I have work to do today. I need to design Mai Shiranui for King of Fighters. I can't leave," Fang Xi replied. Ye Chui then looked at Ai Wa. She shook her head immediately, "I don't have a license." "What about Robert? He just got his license recently." Ye Chui turned to Robert. Robert quickly waved his hands, "I only got my license to pick up girls by hacking the system. I drove a tractor in the US, never a car. Don't count on me, Chushen."

Finally, Ye Chui looked at Wang Shiyu, the little girl at the back. "Chuigege, I'll go with you," she eagerly agreed, raising her hands. But she couldn't drive either. "Go play," Ye Chui said helplessly. Seeing no other options, Ye Chui resignedly fastened his seatbelt. At least there was a seatbelt; without it, Fang Nan's driving would be pure torture.

Fang Nan was already excited, her face slightly red. "Chuichui, I love driving. We should make a racing game where you can crash into things," she said. "Sure, we'll develop a game called Need for Speed, and you'll be the main character," Ye Chui replied, testing his seatbelt. Need for Speed was a famous racing game in another world, with over a hundred million copies sold. It was a guaranteed hit. Ye Chui decided that when they made the game, Fang Nan would be the main character.

"Chuichui, you're the best," Fang Nan blushed. She remembered Ye Chui had previously said she would be the main character in a game called Tail. Then, Fang Nan floored the gas pedal. The red sports car shot off like an arrow, the engine roaring with oppressive power. "Ahhh!!!!" A scream echoed from the car. "Was that Chuge's scream?" Fang Xi asked, puzzled. "Didn't sound like him," Ai Wa guessed, "maybe he was really scared." The group in front of the studio fell silent, silently apologizing to Ye Chui. It wasn't that they weren't loyal, but Fang Nan had warned them all earlier: this was a rare outing with Ye Chui to a scenic spot. Anyone daring to join would face her wrath…

Inside the car, "Hey, did you hear a scream when the car started?" Ye Chui asked, pale-faced. Despite his fear, he hadn't screamed. The sound seemed to come from the car. Fang Nan, holding the steering wheel, glanced at Ye Chui. "Chuichui, did you hear a scream too?" "Yeah…" Ye Chui's face turned paler. "Nan Nan, watch the road!" "Oh." Fang Nan glanced ahead before looking back at Ye Chui. "I heard it too. I thought it was you." "I'm not that scared… watch the road!" Ye Chui's heart raced. Fang Nan glanced ahead again, then back at Ye Chui. "Relax, nothing will happen. Are you sure it wasn't you screaming?" "It wasn't me… watch the road!" "You're strange. I clearly heard it from inside the car." "Must be your imagination… watch the road!" "Hehe, don't worry. Fang Xi always screamed in my car. I'm used to it."

"Ahhh!!!!" "Yes, just like that scream, you mimic Fang Xi well," Fang Nan said, looking at Ye Chui. "I'm not mimicking Fang Xi. We're about to crash!" Ye Chui shouted. "Oh." Fang Nan turned back to the road. A sharp 90-degree turn was ahead. She calmly braked and sharply turned the wheel, making a perfect drift, leaving a black mark on the road. "Ahhhh!!!!" The drifting sensation was thrilling, making Ye Chui scream again. —Masculinity was nothing compared to Fang Nan's tomboyish energy!

Meanwhile, in the trunk, Blood Fox cried. He just wanted to go home. "They must have discovered me and are driving like this on purpose. This is torture… even the cruelest people in the underworld aren't this ruthless. I want to go home, mommy…"
