ROSGT Chapter 148: This Little Girl is Definitely a Gaming Genius

 ## Volume 1, Chapter 148: This Little Girl is Definitely a Gaming Genius

When Ye Chui started developing the first Lianliankan game, he already anticipated this scenario of flourishing diversity. In a burgeoning industry, no matter how significant an advantage Ye Chui had, human ingenuity could not be overlooked. Ye Chui's initiatives would bring forth an endless stream of talents in the gaming industry, leading to a myriad of games being continuously created.

For Ye Chui, reigning supreme in a blank industry couldn't compare to becoming a champion amidst countless competitors—it was much more thrilling. If only Ye Chui knew how to develop games, it would be like playing a game with a super cheat code. However, if the game industry thrived while Ye Chui remained at the top, it would be like playing a challenging game without cheat codes, which a true gamer would prefer.

Of course, the vast array of game ideas Ye Chui brought from his original world were not cheat codes but golden fingers... Ye Chui had no intention of solely copying ideas. Once the time was ripe, he would venture into original creations himself. For instance, the "Legend of Jin Yong's Heroes: The Condor Heroes" might bear the prestigious name of Jin Yong's stories, but it was essentially an original game by Ye Chui.

At this moment, Fang Xi, having listened to Ye Chui's perspective, agreed wholeheartedly. The recent success had indeed clouded his judgment, but Ye Chui's words brought him back to reality, instilling a sense of urgency.

"Brother Cha, I'll continue working on the Condor Heroes game," Fang Xi said, preparing to return to work. However, both he and Ye Chui froze when they heard voices.

Fang Nan, Ai Wa, Robert, and Wang Shiyu were gathered around an arcade machine.

"Go, go, Little Rain is amazing. Robert doesn't stand a chance!" Fang Nan exclaimed excitedly.

Ai Wa, on the other hand, said, "Robert must be going easy on her; there's no way Little Rain could beat him at games."

"I didn't go easy. This little girl is really good," Robert replied, his tone filled with surprise.

Wang Shiyu didn't say much but laughed happily, clearly proud of herself.

Fang Xi had brought an arcade machine to the studio recently, and whenever they had free time, he and Robert would have a match. It must be said that Robert's first-place win in the Street Fighter tournament was well-deserved; even Ye Chui couldn't match him in these fighting games. Yet, now it seemed Robert was no match for Wang Shiyu.

Little Wang Shiyu, barely over a meter tall, had to stand on a stool to easily control the arcade joystick. She was currently competing against Robert in Street Fighter. Although the original Street Fighter didn't have a versus mode, the studio had modified it to allow for PvP matches. The little girl's hands moved incredibly fast, controlling her character with such skill that Robert could barely keep up.

Ye Chui was astonished—this little girl was a gaming prodigy? It was her first time playing arcade Street Fighter, and she managed to defeat Robert, the Street Fighter tournament champion?

"Hmm..." Ye Chui couldn't help but scrutinize Wang Shiyu more closely. As a high-level gamer, encountering someone with natural gaming talent always evoked a sense of kinship. Ye Chui had plans to launch e-sports tournaments in the future—perhaps he should take this opportunity to cultivate this budding e-sports star?

To Ye Chui, Wang Shiyu was a treasure trove.

"I wonder how she would fare in games like CS, Warcraft, Dota, and StarCraft," he mused.

Ye Chui walked over and patted Wang Shiyu's head. "Little Rain, you have a talent for gaming. I have high hopes for you. How about you stick with me and learn to play games?"

Hearing Fang Nan call her Little Rain, Ye Chui followed suit.

"Playing games?" Fang Nan said, somewhat exasperated. "Hammer, don't lead the child astray."

"It's fine, it's fine. I won't be led astray," Wang Shiyu quickly said, hugging Ye Chui's arm. "Brother Cha, you're the best. I'll learn to play games with you. I don't want to study those boring math equations with Qian Xiaomai; playing games is much more fun."

"Okay, Little Rain. I'll train you to become the world's best e-sports player," Ye Chui said with a smile, patting her head.

Fang Nan, Fang Xi, Robert, and Ai Wa were all sweating bullets—they felt like Ye Chui was a shady uncle luring a little girl...

E-sports, however, required proper games for official competitions, which wouldn't be possible until The King of Fighters was released. According to Ye Chui's plan, The King of Fighters wouldn't start production for another one to two months. Street Fighter, Fatal Fury, and Art of Fighting were all paving the way for The King of Fighters, similar to how the Avengers movie introduced its characters first before combining them into one epic crossover.

In the studio, during development phases, the work was quite monotonous. Fang Nan, Fang Xi, Robert, and Ai Wa were all busy typing away on their keyboards, while Ye Chui was busy planning games or drawing comic storyboards. Ai Wa, who initially loved to flirt with Ye Chui, eventually realized he was a paragon of virtue and gave up on such lowly seduction tactics. Now, she seemed to immerse herself in the joy of game development.

Yet, what should have been a monotonous studio was suddenly filled with laughter and joy due to Wang Shiyu's presence. The little girl was a bundle of joy, always knowing how to make people laugh.

The joyful afternoon quickly passed.

When evening came, Ye Chui, who had planned to contact Qian Xiaomai about Wang Shiyu, found himself reluctant to part with her after spending the afternoon together. Fang Nan and Ai Wa were even more unwilling to let her go, treating her like a beloved doll they didn't want to lose. Seeing Wang Shiyu a bit sweaty from playing arcade games all afternoon, they took her to the bathroom for a bath.

Before entering, Wang Shiyu carefully removed a pendant from around her neck and placed it on a nearby table. One end of the pendant was a disk-shaped object. Curious, Ye Chui picked it up and fiddled with it, inadvertently pressing a button. Immediately, a beeping sound emanated from it.

"What is this?" Ye Chui wondered, examining the pendant, but he couldn't figure it out. After a while, the beeping stopped on its own. Ye Chui, thinking it was just a child's toy, tossed it aside without much thought.

A moment later, Fang Nan, holding Wang Shiyu, emerged from the room. The little girl looked even more adorable, but she seemed tired.

"Little Rain, what's wrong?" Ye Chui asked, puzzled.

Wang Shiyu walked over and grabbed Ye Chui's hand. "Brother Cha, this place is so much fun. I don't want to go back. Please don't send me back, or else Qian Xiaomai will bully me again..."

Seeing her so pitiful, Ye Chui remained unmoved. "Stop being naughty. If you stay here any longer, Fang Nan and I will be guilty of kidnapping."

"It's okay, it's okay. If I testify, I can prove your innocence. I ran away from home!" Wang Shiyu assured, looking up at Ye Chui with tearful eyes. "Brother Cha, Qian Xiaomai is heartless. She makes me do equations every day..."

Ye Chui cut her off. "Enough. I'm immune to this now. I will definitely contact Qian Xiaomai."

Fang Nan, tying her slightly damp hair into a ponytail, said, "Little Rain, how about we contact Qian Xiaomai and, if she agrees, you can stay?"

"No, Qian Xiaomai won't agree," Wang Shiyu insisted. She looked at Ye Chui, her eyes welling up with tears again. "Brother Cha, Qian Xiaomai is heartless. She makes me do equations every day..."

Ye Chui stopped her. "Enough. I'm immune to this now. I will definitely contact Qian Xiaomai."

Fang Nan walked over and patted Wang Shiyu's head. "Little Rain, be good. I'll make a delicious dinner for you, and then we'll contact your sister, okay?"

Seeing no other option, Wang Shiyu reluctantly nodded.

Fang Nan then went to the kitchen, and Wang Shiyu took advantage of the remaining time to continue playing arcade games. Earlier, Fang Nan and Wang Shiyu had gone into the bathroom with Ai Wa, but Fang Nan and Wang Shiyu came out first. About ten minutes later, Ai Wa emerged, wrapped in a towel, exposing her long legs.

Fang Xi's eyes went wide.

However, Ye Chui remained unfazed, browsing online news. "Hmm, the latest Dragon Ball chapter is getting great reviews. Not bad, not bad."

Seeing this, Ai Wa sighed. "He's really a perfect man. Do I have no charm at all?"

At that moment, the sound of police sirens suddenly rang out. The noise grew louder, heading towards the studio.

Wang Shiyu, who was playing the arcade game, froze, a look of shock crossing her face. She glanced at the pendant on the table. "Did someone touch my pendant?"
