The sound of police cars blared from outside the apartment, creating an overwhelming presence as they surrounded the building. The scene was reminiscent of a crime thriller.

Before he could finish, an armed figure burst in, kicking the door hard. However, the door didn't budge.

The officer rushed over and with one strong kick, the apartment door flew open. A squad of armed police officers stormed in.
"Nobody move, hands up!"
"This place is under our control, no one is escaping!"
In the adjacent room, Fang Xi had his ear pressed against the door frame, listening to the commotion outside. He was worried. "No way, did they really send so many police officers just to catch you!?"
"Catch me?" Eva was confused.
Fang Xi firmly nodded. "That kind of work might be legal abroad, but in our country, it's a crime. Someone must have tipped off the police, but I never thought they would send this many officers. Isn't this overkill?"
Eva was touched by Fang Xi's words. "So he knows I'm a hacker and thinks the police are here for me... I didn't realize he cared so much."

"Go ahead. Sorry for the trouble," Qian Xiaomai waved them off casually, not showing any sign of feeling guilty.
The police quickly left, clearly annoyed but holding back their frustration.
Ye Chui was surprised at how quickly they came and went. The supposed kidnapping turned out to be a misunderstanding, and despite their anger, the police held back. Qian Xiaomai's influence must be significant. Genius girls, it seemed, were well-protected by the state.
Ye Chui looked at Qian Xiaomai, who had an expression of anger and determination. Wang Shiyu held onto Ye Chui's leg, refusing to let go.
Ye Chui coughed. He liked Wang Shiyu; she was cute and had a natural talent for gaming. He wanted to keep her around, so he spoke to Qian Xiaomai in a negotiating tone. "How about letting Xiaoyu stay here? We'll take good care of her, and I guarantee nothing will happen. What do you think?"

At this moment, Fang Xi and Eva emerged from the room, relieved that the police had left. They saw a girl in a white lab coat, surrounded by the others, drinking chicken soup. Fang Xi walked over, puzzled. "Hammer, what's going on?"
