 ### Chapter 536: Have You Guessed It? Hurry Up and Tell Everyone, They Can't Wait!

An hour earlier.

In a lower-level balcony suite at the edge of the cruise ship, a group of people walked out to the balcony, looked around to make sure no one was watching, and then climbed down a ladder to a yacht docked at the edge.

"Did you bring the stuff?" someone asked as soon as they got on the yacht.

"All here," replied someone on the yacht in a muffled voice.

Then, with a flurry, they opened a concealed compartment on the yacht, revealing a cache of black handguns and several submachine guns.

"Hurry, take everything. No one on this ship can be left alive tonight!"

"Yes!"

The group grabbed handguns and slung submachine guns over their shoulders, loaded with ammunition, and quickly boarded the cruise ship again.

After most of the group had boarded, a middle-aged man holding an automatic pistol turned to the two men on the yacht and said, "Stay here and be ready to respond if needed."

"Got it."

After speaking, he quickly climbed back onto the cruise ship and silently left with the others.

On the yacht, the two men exchanged a look and picked up the two handguns left for them from the cabin.

They took the guns, looked at each other, and then simultaneously raised the guns to load them.

"Sorry, brother."

"Sorry, brother."

With grim faces, they pulled the triggers.

Then...

Splash—

A stream of seawater sprayed onto each other's faces.

"Damn, you sprayed me!"

"Screw you, you dare fight back!"

"I'll take you on!"

The two men laughed and wrestled with each other. These two were none other than the bodyguards arranged by Ye Xiu.

The guns taken by the kidnappers had long been swapped. They were high-quality toy guns that looked real but wouldn't fire unless triggered.

...

Back on the stage of the Zeus Theater.

The young magician, annoyed that Ye Xiu had stolen his spotlight, gritted his teeth and tried to keep his composure. He silently vowed to put Ye Xiu at the top of his hit list.

"Alright, everyone, please quiet down."

Suppressing his anger, the young magician raised his hand to quiet the audience and smiled, "I was planning to pick a random audience member to assist me, but it turns out this handsome guy is quite something. My eyes are truly sharp, haha. Okay, let's get started. Please cooperate, handsome guy."

Ye Xiu nodded with a smile. "Sure."

"First, let's do a simple guessing trick," the young magician said, still irked by Ye Xiu's overwhelming charisma. He decided to play a few tricks on him to even the score.

He continued, "Here are three small rectangular boxes, all empty. I'll open them for you to see."

The boxes were made of plastic, black on five sides and orange on one. They were just big enough to stack two dice.

The young magician opened each box, showing the audience they were empty, then handed them to Ye Xiu for inspection.

"Indeed, they're empty," Ye Xiu confirmed after checking.

"Great. Here are three dice, each with six sides numbered from one to six. Now, I'll put these dice into the boxes, and I'll guess the numbers. Handsome guy, please inspect the props to see if there's any trick."

The young magician handed the dice to Ye Xiu.

"Sure," Ye Xiu said, reaching past the dice to pick up the boxes instead.

The young magician's eye twitched, and he forced a smile as he watched Ye Xiu.

This guy is really messing with me! You'll be the first to go when the boss gives the order!

After about ten seconds, the young magician smiled and said, "Are you done inspecting? No issues, right?"

Ye Xiu replied, "Hold on, I'm not finished yet."

???

The young magician turned to the audience, smiling, "He's a thorough guy, isn't he? Well, let him finish his inspection."

Another half minute passed.

The young magician asked again, "All good now?"

Ye Xiu replied, "Just a bit longer."

The young magician: "..." (Are you here to ruin my show? If I let you keep this up, the audience will watch you instead of me!)

He's great at magic, but posing can't compete with Ye Xiu. After all, posing only requires one thing: being handsome.

Ye Xiu, this sly fox, must be here to ruin my show! If I let this go on, my magic performance will be a joke!

The young magician's smile twitched as he decided not to give Ye Xiu more time. He stepped forward, grabbed the three boxes, and turned to the audience, saying, "Alright, the boxes have been thoroughly checked and confirmed empty. The dice are fine too. Let's proceed. Please choose a number for the dice, show it to everyone, and then place it in the box. I won't look and will guess the number inside! Go ahead, handsome guy!"

"Okay, I'll start."

The young magician turned away, facing the other direction with his back to Ye Xiu.

Ye Xiu picked up a die, showed the six side to the audience, then put it into the box, pressing it in firmly. Then he took the other two dice, showing five and four, and pressed them into the boxes as well.

The boxes were designed to perfectly fit one die each, but Ye Xiu had his own method.

"Alright, you can guess now," Ye Xiu said, placing the boxes on the table.

"Are you sure? No second thoughts?" the young magician asked, still facing away.

Ye Xiu replied, "No second thoughts. You won't guess it anyway."

"Haha, such confidence. Alright, then watch closely!"

The young magician turned, walking confidently towards Ye Xiu with a smug smile. He glanced at Ye Xiu with disdain, picked up the first box, and said, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is the first box. The die is inside. Now I'll guess the number!"

He shook the box, but there was no sound of the die.

Hmm??

What's going on?

He weighed the box, feeling its weight. The die was definitely inside, but there was no sound. No matter. Shaking the box was just for show. The trick was in the orange lid. By rubbing a certain chemical on his finger, the lid would temporarily become transparent, revealing the number inside.

Magic is that simple!

"Okay, let me guess," he said, smiling and rubbing the lid with his finger.

The lid slowly turned transparent, and the young magician's smile grew.

Magic always has secrets unknown to outsiders! No matter how careful you are, it's useless against my sharp eyes!

He looked inside and almost blurted out, "What the hell?"

His eyes widened as he saw the die wedged at an angle inside the box, showing three sides.

No wonder there was no sound when shaking. It wasn't the silence that mattered, but the fact that the die was stuck showing three sides: six, four, and three!

How was he supposed to guess that?

Magic is about looking, not guessing!

The young magician was stunned, put down the first box, picked up the second, shook it, and again no sound.

He rubbed the lid and saw the same problem: four, five, and six.

His scalp tingled.

He picked up the third box, shook it, and again no sound.

He turned to Ye Xiu with wide eyes, feeling a deep sense of dread.

The boxes were designed to fit one die perfectly. Ye Xiu had forced the dice in at an angle, wedging them inside.

So now, a simple magic trick had turned into a real guessing game.

The usually composed magician was panicking inside.

I'm supposed to perform magic, not actually guess the dice!

He was inwardly cursing Ye Xiu.

Ye Xiu smiled, "Have you guessed it? Hurry up and tell everyone, they're getting impatient."

The young magician: "..."
