Chapter 53: It’s Not a Mistake; She’s Clearly a Female Warrior

Ye Chui certainly didn’t know that this “Radish Tea” was actually a foreigner. The reason the other party didn’t use a lightbrain for voice communication was due to the exorbitant cost of international calls. Moreover, Robert was an enthusiastic admirer of Huaxia.

The recent conversation with Ye Chui solidified Robert's long-delayed decision to visit Huaxia. He was now determined to pack his bags and join Ye Chui...

Taking the bus, Ye Chui arrived at Mohe Village Station in the suburbs. When he got off the bus, he saw Fang Nan’s lovely figure from a distance.

“Hammer!” Fang Nan quickly walked to Ye Chui’s side and smiled, “You’re finally back.”

“Have you been waiting long?” Ye Chui asked with a smile. It felt great to have someone waiting for him when he got off the bus.

Fang Nan shook her head. “I just got here. Come on, I’ll push you back.”

Fang Nan then gently pushed Ye Chui toward the apartment.

They talked about Ye Chui’s mother going to help at the magazine. Fang Nan was very happy to hear that Ye Chui’s mother agreed.

When they arrived outside the studio apartment, Ye Chui’s expression suddenly changed. He heard sounds of arguing and furniture being overturned from inside the studio, as if a fight was happening.

Fang Nan’s face also changed abruptly. She quickly rushed in, worried about her brother’s safety. She didn’t bother opening the door but kicked it open and rushed inside. Ye Chui then heard Fang Nan shouting, “Why are you two fighting? Jian Fan, touch Fang Xi again and see if I don’t kill you... Fang Xi, stop it for now. What’s going on?”

“What’s going on? Sister, ask Jian Fan what he did!” Fang Xi shouted angrily.

Jian Fan yelled back, “What did I do? Explain clearly what I did to offend you that made you suddenly attack me!”

Ye Chui wheeled into the apartment and saw Fang Xi’s face red with anger. His usually friendly, chubby face was now filled with rage, and his small eyes were glaring coldly at Jian Fan.

Fang Nan stood in front of Fang Xi, backing her brother completely. Although she didn’t know what happened, she wouldn’t allow her brother to be bullied.

Jian Fan, on the other hand, looked flustered and annoyed.

“What’s going on here?” Ye Chui asked with a frown.

Fang Xi pointed at Jian Fan, “Brother Hammer, I just saw on SB Lightbrain’s official website that they’re developing a game called ‘Kung Fu Kid.’ The gameplay, storyline, and character designs are almost identical to our ‘Kung Fu.’ Jian Fan must have leaked our game idea to SB!”

“Don’t slander me!” Jian Fan shouted in panic, “I’m not the only one in the studio. Why do you think it’s me who leaked it? Why don’t you suspect Ye Chui?”

“Ridiculous, Brother Hammer funded the development. Why would he leak the idea?” Fang Xi retorted with disdain.

“...” Jian Fan had no reply. After a moment, he pointed at Fang Xi and Fang Nan, “Then it’s you two! You must be framing me. Ye Chui, they’re lying to you...”

“I believe them!” Ye Chui interrupted coldly.

He turned to look at the desktop lightbrain.

The screen displayed SB Lightbrain’s website, introducing a fighting game called “Kung Fu Kid” with a video showing the game’s fighting scenes. The label “Coming Soon” was clearly visible.

Rage burned in Ye Chui’s eyes. He didn’t deny that someone else could come up with the concept of a fighting game, but the similarities between “Kung Fu Kid” and their “Kung Fu” were too blatant to be a coincidence.

“Jian Fan, explain this!” Ye Chui demanded coldly.

Jian Fan instinctively stepped back. He had never taken Ye Chui seriously because of his disability, but now he felt a sense of fear from Ye Chui’s presence.

Grabbing a chair as if preparing for defense, Jian Fan stammered, “The studio is mine. Why would I leak our project? This must be a misunderstanding...”

“A misunderstanding?” Ye Chui pushed his wheelchair closer to Jian Fan, wishing he could stand up and punch him. Since joining the studio, Jian Fan had been a constant source of complaints, and his recent cheerful demeanor now seemed suspicious.

Ye Chui pointed at Jian Fan, “Tell me clearly, did you leak our game?”

Jian Fan, intimidated, hesitated and then suddenly shouted, “It’s Bai Miyun! It must be her!”

Bai Miyun had been a reclusive figure since Ye Chui joined the studio, almost never interacting with others.

Knowing Ye Chui wouldn’t suspect the Fang siblings, Jian Fan tried to pin the blame on Bai Miyun.

But before he could finish, a calm, cold voice interrupted, “It wasn’t me.”

Everyone turned to the staircase leading to the second floor.

A girl in a white dress stood there, her face pale, with long hair cascading down. Although her face was shadowed, her delicate features hinted at her beauty. Her ghostly appearance added to the eerie atmosphere.

This girl, resembling a ghost in white, was the studio’s mysterious fourth member, Bai Miyun.

“It wasn’t me,” Bai Miyun repeated, “I have evidence.”

“Evidence?” Jian Fan was taken aback.

Bai Miyun activated the lightbrain on her wrist, displaying the screen and tapping a few times to bring up some data.

With her indifferent voice, she explained, “I installed a buffer data cloud storage device on the studio’s network. Any data flowing through our network is recorded. I checked the records and found that Jian Fan transmitted numerous data files, including all the designs for ‘Kung Fu’ and some of Ye Chui’s ideas, to someone named Wang Zhaoming.”

“Wang Zhaoming, that idiot?” Fang Xi shouted, looking at Jian Fan, “What do you have to say now?”

Jian Fan’s lips moved, but no words came out. His expression revealed his guilt.

Ye Chui was impressed. He didn’t fully understand Bai Miyun’s tech jargon but knew it sounded impressive. This mysterious girl was indeed capable!

Ye Chui glared at Jian Fan, “You breached our contract. We signed an electronic agreement, and you’re in serious violation. I have every right to pursue legal action against you!”

“You...you all...” Jian Fan panted, his anger finally erupting. From the moment Ye Chui’s name appeared, his resentment had been building.

“You traitors! None of you will get away with this!” He grabbed the chair, ready to attack Ye Chui, “Ye Chui, you bastard, I won’t let you off!”

The wooden chair swung down towards Ye Chui.

Ye Chui gripped the wheelchair’s arms, ready to tackle Jian Fan. Despite his disability, he believed he could take him down.

However...

Before Ye Chui could act, a figure darted in front of him.

A flash of white passed over Ye Chui’s head.

Crash!

The chair shattered upon impact with a leg.

Fang Nan, in her short skirt, landed in front of Ye Chui.

Ye Chui’s eyes widened in shock.

Fang Nan had just performed a flying kick, breaking the chair in Jian Fan’s hands.

More astonishingly, Ye Chui was sure he saw some strawberry-patterned item flash by...

As he watched in disbelief, Fang Nan’s slim but powerful form made quick work of Jian Fan, leaving him with no chance to retaliate.

“No, this must be a mistake...” Ye Chui tried to reassure himself.

He rubbed his face vigorously.

“It’s no mistake; she’s clearly a female warrior!”
