### Chapter 142: I'll Take on Ten of You!
The last time Ye Chui and Fang Nan came here, they encountered Lin Xin. Lin Xin shamelessly asked Ye Chui for a song, but Ye Chui naturally ignored her. She left in a fit of rage. It's hard to say if she did something to retaliate against this wonton stall afterward—such a woman is always small-minded, and who knows what they might do?
However, Ye Chui was just speculating; he couldn't be sure it was Lin Xin causing trouble. Seeing the dejected look on the boss's face, Ye Chui started thinking about how to help him. These wontons were really good, and it would be a shame if they disappeared.
Just as Ye Chui was about to finish his bowl of wontons, a noisy commotion reached his ears. Turning his head, he saw five or six thuggish hooligans approaching. With so many schools nearby, there were naturally many idlers and bullies. These people usually extorted money or worked as hired muscle. This group of hooligans was clearly up to no good.
Ye Chui glanced at the boss standing nearby. The boss looked furious but was trembling all over, which confirmed Ye Chui's suspicions. These days, the troublemakers at the wonton stall were obviously these hooligans!
"Boss, why are you just standing there? Hurry up, we want to eat!"
"Boss, do you even know how to run a business? Customers are here, and you don't greet them?"
"We rarely decide to patronize your stall, so you better hurry up and serve us!"
The hooligans were aggressive. Ye Chui frowned. Listening to these hooligans' words was infuriating. The wonton stall's boss was an honest man. He looked angrily at the hooligans but ultimately walked over timidly and said coldly, "I don't serve you here. Go eat somewhere else!"
"Bang!" A hooligan with a skull tattoo on his arm slammed the table. "Telling us to eat somewhere else? Is that how you do business?"
"You've come here so many times and never paid once. If you want to eat here, pay your past bills first!" the boss said, his voice trembling.
"Pay our past bills?" The skull tattoo hooligan sneered. "Last time we ate your food, my buddy found a stone in his wonton and almost broke his tooth. How do you explain that? You should be thankful we're not asking you for compensation, and you dare ask us for money?"
The boss was trembling with anger. "You're lying! I, Old Chen, carefully select the ingredients for my wontons. How could there be a stone? You're framing me!"
"So what if I'm framing you?" The skull tattoo hooligan arrogantly placed one leg on a chair and pointed at the boss. "We're giving you face by eating your wontons. Listen, if you know what's good for you, serve us the wontons and apologize to my buddy, or I'll smash your stall again. I'll smash it every time I see it, and you won't be able to do business here anymore!"
With the skull tattoo hooligan's words, the other hooligans stood up menacingly, glaring at the boss. It was noon, and the street was bustling, but no one stopped to intervene, not even to watch. These hooligans were notoriously ruthless in the area, and no one wanted trouble. Even the few customers eating wontons quickly put down their money and left. In no time, only the boss, the hooligans, and Ye Chui and Fang Nan were left at the stall.
"You... you bully too much. I'll fight you today!" Old Chen was pushed to his limit. He depended on this wonton stall to support his family and his child's education. These hooligans had gone too far. He had always been honest and never fought back, even when these hooligans previously attacked. But now he couldn't hold back anymore.
Seeing Old Chen about to fight, the hooligans smirked, ready to gang up on him. Ye Chui, with a cold expression, couldn't tolerate this bullying scene. He moved his wheelchair forward to confront the hooligans. So what if he was disabled? Ye Chui was never one to back down from a fight!
But just then—
"Bang!" A loud noise startled everyone at the stall. All eyes turned to Fang Nan. She had finally lost her temper and slapped the table hard. As she stood up in anger, the table collapsed with a crash.
—Well, actually, the table had already been damaged by the hooligans and was unstable. Fang Nan's slap just finished it off. But her fierce gesture of breaking the table was undeniably impressive. The hooligans trembled involuntarily.
"You all gang up on an honest man, that's too much!" Fang Nan said coldly, walking towards them.
"Nan Nan," Ye Chui quickly grabbed her hand.
"Chu Chu, I can't stand this..." Fang Nan turned to Ye Chui.
Ye Chui nodded. "Just be careful. And, beat them up!"
"These hooligans are nothing. Don't worry," Fang Nan said, smiling at Ye Chui as she walked over.
Old Chen and the hooligans looked at Fang Nan. Old Chen quickly stepped forward to shield her. "Miss, don't be rash. It's not worth fighting them over this."
"Boss, don't worry. I'll take care of these hooligans in no time." Fang Nan reassured Old Chen and then turned to the skull tattoo hooligan. "You were quite arrogant just now. I'll give you three seconds to apologize to the boss, or else don't blame me for being rude!"
"..." The skull tattoo hooligan was stunned. He pointed at himself and his buddies, laughing. "Did I hear wrong? This beauty is threatening me. She's threatening me! How hilarious! Who doesn't know me, Skull Tang, on this street? And a beauty like her is threatening me. This is too funny..."
He was laughing to himself—
"Bang!" Fang Nan suddenly rushed at him. Her delicate fist punched him in the stomach. Skull Tang couldn't speak, clutching his stomach and dry-heaving. "Three seconds are up," Fang Nan said coldly, slapping Skull Tang on the head. "Get lost!"
Then she looked at the other stunned hooligans and beckoned them. "Come at me together. I'll take on ten of you!"
Hooligans: "..."
Old Chen: "..."
Ye Chui: "She said she punches the heavy bag three hundred times every morning, looks like it's true..."
Seeing Fang Nan's dominance, the hooligans didn't dare approach. Fang Nan said she would take on ten, but there were only four or five of them. They quickly helped the groaning Skull Tang up and ran away. About a hundred meters away, Skull Tang shouted hoarsely, "You'll pay for this!"
"A bunch of kids." Fang Nan dismissed them. She turned to Old Chen and patted his shoulder. "Boss, sorry for breaking your table."
"It's... it's fine," Old Chen said quickly, not daring to argue.
Fang Nan returned to Ye Chui. Her fierce expression disappeared, and she looked a bit worried. "Did I...?"
"You don't need to explain," Ye Chui interrupted. "You were very forceful and dominant, but... I like it."
Hearing this, Fang Nan's face lit up with a sweet smile.
But Old Chen suddenly looked alarmed. "You should leave quickly. Skull Tang is the second-in-command of a local gang. He'll likely call more people to come after you."
"Don't worry. If they come back, I'll handle them," Fang Nan said casually.
Ye Chui also felt there wouldn't be a major issue. These were just hooligans; what trouble could they cause? Professional bodyguards like Da Li weren't a match for Fang Nan, let alone these low-level thugs.
Ye Chui reassured Old Chen. "Boss, why are they causing you trouble every day?"
"How would I know? I didn't do anything. Who knows what's going on with them?" Old Chen said angrily. "It's been half a month. I guess I won't be able to keep doing business."
"Boss, your wontons are too good to stop making. It'd be a real pity," Ye Chui said quickly. "How about this: I'll invest in you to open a proper wonton shop."
"Invest in me to open a shop?" Old Chen was stunned.
Ye Chui nodded. "How much do you usually make in a month?"
"When business is good, three to four thousand. When it's bad, just one to two thousand," Old Chen sighed.
"Alright," Ye Chui said, smiling. "I'll pay you a salary of ten thousand a month, whether the shop makes money or not. But I'll be in charge of how the shop is run. How about it?"
"Ten thousand a month?" Old Chen never thought he could earn so much. He agreed without hesitation. "Deal, absolutely deal!"
