ROSGT Chapter 129: Summoning a Beast

 **Volume 1, Chapter 129: Summoning a Beast**

Fang Nan swiftly and efficiently subdued the security guard named Dali, thoroughly shocking everyone present. Although Ye Chui and Fang Xi were used to Fang Nan's violent tendencies, they were still taken aback.

Fang Xi couldn't help but mutter, "Sister seems to have improved her skills recently..."

Ye Chui swallowed hard. Fang Nan's potential as a tough woman was limitless. Maybe he should learn some martial arts once his legs healed; otherwise, his future might be bleak...

Ye Ling, who had been worried, now looked at Fang Nan with shining eyes, full of admiration. "Sister Fang Nan is so cool! I want her to teach me someday!"

Hearing this, Zhou Ming, standing nearby, trembled slightly. Ye Chui wasn't pleased. Why was Zhou Ming scared of his sister learning to fight?

Zhao Ling, meanwhile, was equally shocked. Watching the burly man, who always boasted about his strength, being completely subdued by a delicate-looking woman made her feel utterly humiliated.

After regaining her composure, she angrily opened her wrist-worn portable computer and requested a call. Her acting skills were on full display: one moment she was furious, the next she was tearful and pitiful, her voice soft and clingy as she said, "Degui, someone bullied me. You have to stand up for me."

—She had activated her "Summon Beast" skill.

The call ended quickly, and she had contacted her boyfriend, Zhao Degui, the marketing manager of Jinyun Records. Putting away her computer, Zhao Ling instantly reverted to a furious and disdainful demeanor. She glared at Ye Chui and his group, then sat back down on the sofa, arms crossed. "If you have the guts, stay here. Let's see what happens."

The effeminate stylist and another man, who seemed to be Zhao Ling's agent, also snorted disdainfully. It was as if summoning Zhao Degui had given them the upper hand, and they had Ye Chui and his group under control.

Ye Ling, being a gentle girl, was worried. She whispered to Ye Chui, "Brother, what do we do? The person she's calling sounds really powerful."

Ye Chui held his sister's hand, smiling reassuringly. "Don't worry. No matter how powerful the person is, I'll protect you. If things get bad, we can always sign with another company."

Ye Chui's words made it sound as if signing with another company was as easy as he made it seem. Zhao Ling and her group scoffed at his naivety, thinking he underestimated the competitiveness of the industry.

Of course, they would soon realize that for Ye Chui, choosing another company was indeed as easy as he made it sound.

Fang Nan had let go of Dali. The once formidable man now cowered in the corner, clutching his arm and remaining silent. He was clearly terrified of Fang Nan.

Fang Nan, looking slightly embarrassed, walked back to Ye Chui, smiling innocently. "Hehe, was I too rough just now? It's his fault for nearly starting a fight in the elevator. I couldn't help but be a bit harsh."

"..."

Listening to Fang Nan's sweet and soft voice, Ye Chui and Fang Xi shivered.

Ye Chui softly reassured her, "Nan Nan, we're all familiar here. You don't need to explain anything."

Ye Ling joined Fang Nan, holding her hand and expressing her admiration. The little girl was increasingly satisfied with this potential sister-in-law. Normally pure and beautiful by Ye Chui's side, Fang Nan could transform into a fierce warrior when needed. Where else could one find such a good sister-in-law?

The reception room fell silent, with only Ye Ling and Fang Nan's quiet conversation breaking the peace. Zhao Ling and her group waited for their summoned beast to arrive, while Ye Chui remained calm and unbothered.

At this moment, Ye Chui also deeply felt the harshness of the entertainment industry—fighting over the use of a reception room could escalate into such a big deal. Stories about petty conflicts leading to deep-seated hatred among artists seemed more believable now.

Sigh, having Ye Ling in this industry was going to be a constant worry for her brother.

"Maybe I should sign with the company too. With my image, I could go for a Zheng Zhihua style. Hmm, that sounds interesting..." Ye Chui mused. He wasn't concerned about the impending arrival of Zhao Degui.

But just because Ye Chui wasn't worried didn't mean Zhou Ming wasn't. He walked over to Ye Chui, concerned. "Professor, Zhao Degui is the marketing manager. He has a lot of power in the company. Should I call Sister Qingci to come back quickly?"

"No need. Let things take their course. I'm curious to see what they'll do," Ye Chui said with a smile. He hadn't revealed his identity as the music prodigy yet, intending to teach Zhao Ling a lesson for her arrogance. He wanted to see her make a fool of herself before revealing the trump card.

As soon as Ye Chui realized Zhao Ling was a Jinyun Records artist, he disliked her and decided she needed to be taught a lesson to prevent future bullying of Ye Ling.

Zhou Ming was over-worried about Ye Ling and hadn't considered this. With Ye Chui's identity, even Chu Qingci wouldn't dare mess with him.

Footsteps approached, and a slightly chubby, balding middle-aged man hurried in. As soon as he arrived, the previously haughty Zhao Ling instantly turned pitiful, throwing herself into his arms, sobbing, "They bullied me..."

Damn, her acting was top-notch. No wonder she played the mistress role so convincingly in *Family Feuds*. It was absolutely a performance from the heart!

The middle-aged man was clearly Zhao Degui. Listening to Zhao Ling's exaggerated recounting of events, he coldly looked at Ye Chui and his group. Not knowing Ye Chui's identity as the music prodigy, his gaze finally settled on Zhou Ming. "Zhou Ming, what's going on here?"

"Manager Zhao, I reserved this room in advance. It's Miss Zhao Ling who's being unreasonable..." Zhou Ming hurriedly explained.

Zhao Degui cut him off, "A new artist signing a contract needs this reception room? There's a café upstairs. Go there! Zhou Ming, I heard you've got a good song recently. The company plans to launch you. Don't act ungrateful. Do you believe I can't just say a few words and have you sidelined again?"

Hearing Zhao Degui's threat, Zhou Ming looked indignant.

But being a young man with a temper, he couldn't hold back his anger. "So what if I'm sidelined again? She's the one being unreasonable!"

Ye Chui, standing nearby, admired Zhou Ming's courage. This attitude was commendable.

Zhao Degui's face darkened, "Zhou Ming, you're quite bold. The company intended to give you a chance because of your spirit, but it seems you haven't changed at all. I'll cancel your debut plans. Let's see what you do then."

"Cancel them if you want. Do you think I care?" Zhou Ming said angrily.

The two argued fiercely, with Zhao Degui growing increasingly furious. He glanced at Zhao Ling, who looked up at him with tearful eyes, making him even angrier. He couldn't let this slide, or he'd lose face.

Zhou Ming was too stubborn. A year of suppression hadn't changed his fiery temperament.

Zhao Degui's eyes shifted to Ye Chui's group. "Who's signing with the company?"

"My sister. What's it to you?" Ye Chui replied calmly.

Zhao Degui sneered, "I'm the marketing manager. I handle artist launches. Your sister needs to apologize to Ling Ling, and Zhou Ming needs to apologize until I'm satisfied. Otherwise, hmph!"

"What?" Ye Chui's face grew cold. "Are you planning to sideline my sister once she signs with Jinyun Records?"

"A new artist with no background—I can ruin her career with just a few words," Zhao Degui said smugly. He had absolute power in this matter and often exploited it for personal gain.

Speaking of personal gain...

Zhao Degui gave Ye Ling a lecherous glance, which Ye Chui immediately noticed. Enraged, Ye Chui thought, this guy dares to target my sister?

No way. She definitely couldn't sign with this company. Otherwise, she'd suffer under this beast.

Unless Zhao Degui was ousted from the company, there was no way Ye Ling could sign here.

Ye Chui looked contemplative, making Zhao Degui even more arrogant. "Hahaha, don't want to apologize? Fine, don't sign with the company. Ling Ling said you mentioned signing with another company. Go ahead, I'd love to see your abilities."

Ye Chui, sitting in a wheelchair, gave the impression of being weak, leading Zhao Degui to underestimate him. He believed he had the final say in whether Ye Ling could sign with the company.

With a smug expression, Zhao Degui continued to pressure Ye Chui, "Believe me, I can cancel your sister's contract right now."

He finished speaking, looking pleased with himself, while Zhao Ling smirked beside him.

Ye Chui's expression grew colder, but before he could respond, a cold voice sounded from the door—

"Manager Zhao, if Little Ling can't sign with the company, I'll terminate my contract."

Chu Qingci had finally arrived.
