ROSGT Chapter 12: You’re Going on a Live Broadcast

As a member of SB Optical Brain Company, Wang Zhaoming was somewhat of a big shot on the Software Alliance, and his username "SB Expert" was quite famous. His post mocking Professor X had caused quite a stir, successfully adding a few dissenting voices among the overwhelming praise for Professor X.

Wang Zhaoming was naturally pleased with this outcome. “Dare to go against SB? I’ll make sure you don’t know what hit you!”

However, Wang Zhaoming wasn’t satisfied with just this. He couldn’t forget Ye Chui’s “eat shit” comment and, after a few hours, came up with a brilliant idea to completely discredit Professor X.

“This Little Cat’s Adventure 2.0 is interesting. It’s been uploaded for just three hours and has already been downloaded five thousand times. Plus, it’s also marketed as a game. How about I give this software a boost?”

Wang Zhaoming’s eyes lit up.

His idea was simple: while Little Cat’s Adventure hadn’t achieved the same explosive success as Link-Up, it was still an innovative type of software. Most importantly, unlike Link-Up, Little Cat’s Adventure was technically sophisticated and couldn’t be created without solid programming knowledge.

When Wang Zhaoming had attacked Professor X, he focused on ridiculing Professor X’s lack of programming skills. Now he could use Little Cat’s Adventure to mock Professor X even more.

With this plan in mind, Wang Zhaoming quickly set to work.

The Software Alliance had a live broadcast channel called Software Guru Show, an interview program organized by netizens. The host and main organizer, Kodak, frequently invited well-known figures in the software industry for interviews, attracting a large audience and having significant influence among software developers.

Wang Zhaoming was quite familiar with Kodak. After a brief discussion, Kodak understood Wang Zhaoming’s intention and promised, “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure Professor X can’t show his face on the Software Alliance again!”

It was also a coincidence that Kodak had tried to contact Professor X after his sudden rise to fame. Unfortunately, Ye Chui had received so many messages that Kodak’s request was overlooked, leaving Kodak with a bit of a grudge. Now, he was more than happy to help Wang Zhaoming…

Half an hour later, in Jian Fan Studio.

“Fatty, get up right now!” Fang Nan rushed into Fang Xi’s room.

Their studio was essentially a semi-detached villa they rented. They worked in the living room and also took care of meals and accommodations there. Everyone had their own private bedroom.

After three days of hard work, Fang Xi had uploaded Little Cat’s Adventure and then gone to his room to sleep. But he had only been asleep for a short while before his sister stormed in.

“Just let me talk to Chu Qingci a little longer…” Fang Xi muttered, rolling over. He was dreaming about dating the current hot celebrity, Chu Qingci.

“What the hell kind of dream are you having? Wake up right now!” Fang Nan grabbed a chunk of fat on Fang Xi’s shoulder and twisted hard.

“Ahhhh!!!!”

Fang Xi screamed and sat up in bed.

Realizing what was happening, he rubbed his arm, looking aggrieved. “Sis, your grip is getting stronger…”

“Forget about that. Get dressed and come with me—you’re going on a live broadcast.” Fang Nan said urgently.

“What?”

“The Software Guru Show, the famous live broadcast on the Software Alliance. Didn’t you say you always wanted to be on it? Here’s your chance. The host, Kodak, contacted us, and you’re going on the show. The broadcast is starting soon.” Fang Nan explained.

After a moment of shock, Fang Xi jumped out of bed.

He loved any opportunity to be in the spotlight and proudly wiggled his body, causing his white, flabby flesh to jiggle, almost blinding Fang Nan.

“Good grief, put some clothes on when you sleep.”

Fang Nan covered her eyes and hurried out of the room.

A few minutes later, Fang Xi, now freshly dressed, sat primly in front of his optical brain.

Optical brains had video connection capabilities, which made things very convenient. After a brief conversation, the Software Guru Show began recording.

Due to the widespread use of portable optical brains, this live broadcast didn’t have a fixed schedule. As soon as they secured a software guru, they would start the live broadcast immediately.

Viewers could set reminders on their optical brains and, for a few Alliance Coins, watch the show. Each episode typically attracted tens of thousands of viewers, making it the most famous software-related program with significant influence.

“Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Software Guru Show. I’m your host, Kodak.

Today’s guest is an original software developer from the Software Alliance. Just a few hours ago, he released the entertainment software Little Cat’s Adventure 2.0, which has already reached fifty thousand downloads. This achievement is incredible.

So, today we’ve invited the developer of this software, Lonely Seeker of Slimness, to join our program. Lonely Seeker of Slimness, please say hello to everyone.”

Kodak spoke crisply, and the camera switched to Jian Fan Studio.

Fang Xi appeared on the screen, looking excited as he waved at the camera. “I’m really on a live broadcast! Hello, everyone watching the broadcast!”

“Fang Xi, stop saying useless stuff, this is a live broadcast!” Jian Fan whispered a reminder from the side, “You’re embarrassing us, you know that? And don’t forget to mention our Jian Fan Studio during the interview.”

“Got it.” Fang Xi replied casually.

Jian Fan looked displeased, feeling a surge of jealousy. Little Cat’s Adventure was Fang Xi’s own creation and not the studio’s property, so he wasn’t involved in the live broadcast interview. He envied Fang Xi deeply. Appearing on the Software Guru Show was a dream for many programmers…

“Hehe, Lonely Seeker of Slimness, your name seems very fitting,” Kodak said, making a joke about Fang Xi’s appearance. “So, Lonely Seeker of Slimness, please tell us how you came up with the idea for Little Cat’s Adventure?”

“It’s not software; it’s a game,” Fang Xi corrected immediately. “Little Cat’s Adventure isn’t software; it’s a game.”

Kodak’s expression briefly changed, but he quickly recovered. “Alright, if you prefer to call it a game, then we’ll use that term. Lonely Seeker of Slimness, can you tell us about the development process of this game?”

“Sure.” Fang Xi said seriously. “But first, I have to thank someone…”
