ROSGT Chapter 118: The Limitless Potential of the Tomboy

 ### Volume 1, Chapter 118: The Limitless Potential of the Tomboy

Hearing Ye Cui's words, Fang Nan quickly understood. She looked surprised and said, "Chui Chui, are you saying this Haifeng Company is deliberately publishing this kind of news that might provoke public anger to stir up controversy? But... even if their sales go up, won't this have a negative impact on the company's reputation?"

"As long as their game isn't particularly bad, the impact on their reputation will be negligible. What they need to do is get players to play their game," Ye Cui analyzed. In another world, many celebrities climbed to fame through various outrageous stunts. These celebrities would be extremely popular for a period, but over time, those with real talent would solidify their positions, while the rest would be forgotten.

"This Haifeng Company might be incredibly foolish, using this method to boost sales only to ruin their reputation, or they might use this to successfully break into the public's view," Ye Cui concluded. "We'll soon see what this company is really like!"

Just like Ye Cui's release of "Street Fighter" and SB's "Kung Fu Kid," the two games had similar notoriety due to their rivalry. However, "Kung Fu Kid" failed miserably, while "Street Fighter" soared to success because of its solid quality. Now, they just had to wait for the release of "Heavenly Wolf Saga" to see its quality.

Fang Nan wasn't very familiar with the concept of hype and didn't believe this approach would succeed. However, seeing Ye Cui's serious demeanor, she couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation.

It was morning, and Fang Nan had just brought breakfast out from the kitchen. Since discovering Ye Cui liked xiaolongbao in the morning, Fang Nan had taught herself how to make them. Freshly steamed xiaolongbao, emitting hot steam, paired with homemade pickled radish, made Ye Cui's mouth water.

Despite occasionally displaying tomboyish traits, Fang Nan was truly the best candidate for a wife. She could handle both the kitchen and the living room, had a top-notch figure, and was particularly passionate.

Just as they were about to eat, Robert cheerfully walked in. "Having breakfast?"

Whether it was his nature or an influence from Fang Xi, Robert had started to occasionally make Fang Nan feel the urge to punch him. For instance, now he walked straight to the table, grabbed a xiaolongbao, and popped it into his mouth, saying, "These buns are much more authentic than the ones sold outside. I smelled them and followed the scent here."

Seeing Fang Nan about to explode, Ye Cui quickly patted her shoulder to calm her down. Although she was clearly unhappy, Fang Nan went to the kitchen to get Robert a bowl of lean pork congee with preserved egg.

"Xia Shen," Robert said while eating the congee and xiaolongbao, "I want to bring someone into the studio. Is that okay?"

"Bring someone in?" Ye Cui was surprised.

"Yes, she's an old friend of mine. I taught her everything she knows, and her skills are solid," Robert explained.

"Your apprentice?" Ye Cui became interested. "How skilled is she?"

Robert thought for a moment and then, seeing Fang Nan was still in the kitchen, said, "If she joins our studio, in terms of programming skills, she'd be third. I'm first, Bai Miyun is second, and she'd be third."

"Hmm!?" Ye Cui was surprised, not because this person could be third, but because Bai Miyun, that coding machine, was second?

Understanding Ye Cui's confusion, Robert explained, "I tested Bai Miyun the other day. Her skills are solid. If she were a hacker, she'd rank in the top thirty on the Hacker Billboard."

"Hacker Billboard?" Ye Cui asked, hearing the term for the first time.

"Top 100 hackers in the world," Robert explained.

Ye Cui was intrigued. "Where would your friend rank on the Hacker Billboard?"

"Probably between ninety and a hundred," Robert estimated.

Between ninety and a hundred? That's pretty good. Ye Cui then looked at Robert with shining eyes. "What about you?"

"Me?" Robert laughed awkwardly. "I've fallen behind a lot in the past year or so. I'm probably no longer in the top three."

"..."

Ye Cui was speechless. Probably no longer in the top three? That implied he was at least top ten or top five. Wow, that's impressive for the entire hacker world. Ye Cui looked at Robert with a newfound appreciation, thinking this handsome guy was truly a treasure.

"Xia Shen, stop looking at me like that. It's unsettling," Robert said, feeling nervous under Ye Cui's gaze.

"Alright, I won't look," Ye Cui said, smiling as he patted Robert's shoulder. He thought of something and asked, "Including the person you want to bring in, we have six people in the studio now. Did you rank all six of us? Besides the first, second, and third, what about the rest?"

"Fang Xi is fourth. His hacking skills are self-taught. I've been subtly teaching him. He should be able to rank in the top fifty soon," Robert said, implying Fang Xi was a potential talent.

Ye Cui then asked, "What about Fang Nan?"

"She's tricky to rank," Robert said, glancing at Fang Nan in the kitchen. "I think her potential is limitless."

A tomboy with limitless potential... Ye Cui nodded, agreeing completely. He didn't bother asking who was last; it was obviously him. He didn't mind, knowing his programming skills were basic and he knew nothing about hacking. However, Ye Cui found it interesting that with Robert's friend joining and Fang Nan and Fang Xi improving, five out of six people in the studio would be top 100 hackers.

This setup, combined with Ye Cui's endless game ideas, promised a lot of fun ahead.

When Fang Xi returned sweaty from his morning run, he showered and joined them for breakfast. Ye Cui mentioned the new member joining, and the siblings' first reaction was to ask in unison, "Is it a boy or a girl? Pretty?"

"Uh..." Ye Cui hesitated and looked at Robert.

"She's a pretty girl named Ava," Robert said with a smile.

"No way!" Fang Nan immediately objected.

Fang Xi, on the other hand, asked eagerly, "Does she have a boyfriend?"

Seeing the siblings' aggressive stance, Ye Cui didn't know what to say. Fang Nan clearly didn't want another pretty girl in the studio, worried Ye Cui might be taken advantage of. Touching, but overprotective. Fang Xi, however, just wanted more pretty girls around.

Ye Cui had already agreed with Robert, unsure how to explain it to Fang Nan, not expecting Robert's friend to be a girl. However, after Fang Xi whispered to Fang Nan that he'd make sure the girl wouldn't bother Ye Cui, Fang Nan reluctantly agreed.

Thus, Wolverine Studio officially had six members. Robert contacted Ava, and she said she'd be there in the afternoon.

The morning passed quickly, and by noon, Ye Cui released "Hungry Wolf Legend" as scheduled. Meanwhile, Haifeng Company launched their game in a major software store.
