MSSU Chapter 7: The Fool

Luo Feng stared at the seven names of the peerless martial arts, clearly the ones he had learned.

Seeming to sense that Luo Feng was easy to fool, the man grinned, "Impressed, huh? Want to trade?"

"Trade, definitely!" Luo Feng quickly pushed the third bowl of dumplings in front of the man.

The man, already starving, grabbed the chopsticks and spoon and greedily devoured the dumplings, not losing to Luo Feng at all.

He finished in less than a minute.

Luo Feng's eyes were still fixed on the seven martial arts books, his face full of doubt.

Seeing this, the man said, "Go ahead, which one do you want?"

Luo Feng didn't care which one he got; he cared if these seven books were genuine.

He randomly grabbed one and eagerly flipped through it, but soon his brows furrowed.

Why?!

Because the contents were completely different from what he had learned.

"What's wrong?" the man asked.

"This is fake," Luo Feng said angrily.

"Fake?" The man was startled, feeling guilty. "I kindly give you one, and you say it's fake. Well, if you don't want it, give it back to me!"

With that, the man took back the seven martial arts books and was about to leave.

But as he stood up, a group of people suddenly rushed out of several cars in the distance.

At the forefront was a fierce-looking bald man, wielding a baseball bat and pointing at the man, angrily shouting, "You damn scammer, finally found you!"

The man was stunned, instantly surrounded by the bald man and his gang, as if they had an irreconcilable feud.

The bald man threw one book in front of the man and said coldly, "You've got guts, even daring to deceive me."

"Brothers, we agreed on a deal, both parties volunteered. How is that cheating?" Sweat dripped from the man's forehead, instinctively hiding behind Luo Feng.

The bald man snorted, his gaze falling on Luo Feng, unfriendly. "You're with him, right?"

"I..." Luo Feng wanted to explain, but the man spoke first.

"Let me tell you, if you can't learn it, it's just because of your mediocre talent. I warned you before. It's not someone else's fault. This is my disciple, and he learned it, all seven martial arts!"

"You guys better leave now, or my disciple won't show any mercy."

"Hey, are you still pretending here?" The bald man was furious, swinging the baseball bat towards the man's head without hesitation.

"Disciple, save me! I'm injured and can't fight!" The man was shocked, closing his eyes in fear.

Luo Feng frowned. Although he didn't want to get involved in this mess, he knew that the seven martial arts books were indeed fake.

But one thing bothered Luo Feng.

Why did this man know the names of the seven martial arts?

His intuition told him that this man was likely a master.

Yes, a true master.

Was this a test for himself?

So, in the moment the baseball bat was about to strike, Luo Feng moved.

He kicked out with his right foot, lightning-fast, sending the bald man flying.

"What the hell, why are you just standing there? Get him!" the bald man yelled in agony from the ground.

The others finally reacted, raising their weapons and rushing towards Luo Feng.

Luo Feng frowned, knowing this was a test from a master. He swiftly moved into the crowd and began striking.

These people were just ordinary folks, maybe strong but no match for Luo Feng!

In less than a minute, over a dozen of them were writhing on the ground, crying out in pain.

"Let's go!" the man exclaimed joyfully, pulling Luo Feng out of the dumpling shop at lightning speed.

Luo Feng didn't know where they were running to until the man couldn't run anymore, finally stopping.

Gasping for breath, the man waved his hand, "N-no need to run anymore, we're safe for now."

Suddenly, Luo Feng knelt down, "Master, I know you were pretending just now, testing me. Could you teach me the true essence of the seven great martial arts? Because I'm truly weak."

"Huh..." The man was taken aback, clearly surprised by Luo Feng's insight.

This guy was still weak? He had taken down over a dozen people in less than a minute. Any normal person would be in the hospital by now.

But the man chuckled.

"This kid seems pretty naive, and he's handy to have around. Plus, he's skilled. Having him around would make me feel safer."

After a few seconds of thought, the man made his decision.

"Alright, since you saw through my disguise, I won't hide it anymore. Actually... I'm a master, but I keep a low profile in the martial world because I'm too invincible."

Luo Feng was thrilled, grateful for his keen eye. "Can you teach me the seven great martial arts now?"

"Seeing as you helped me out, I'll consider it. But..."

"But what?"

"But it'll cost you!"

"I have money!" Luo Feng handed the man the bank card given to him by Gu Xuenian, unsure of how much was in it.

The man's eyes lit up, quickly pocketing the card, trembling with excitement.

"Wow, this kid's a real wealthy one. He even has a black card! I hit the jackpot!"

"Can you teach me now? I really want to learn," Luo Feng urged eagerly.

Though he had learned the seven martial arts on his own, his master never taught him personally. He always said Luo Feng's talent was mediocre and it would be a waste of time. But with a master's guidance, it was a golden opportunity.

Little did Luo Feng know, the man was just a con artist relying on his smooth tongue.

"Not yet. Haste makes waste. I need to assess your abilities first, then plan out a curriculum for you. For now, just follow me," the man said with an air of superiority, hands clasped behind his back.

Luo Feng was ecstatic, nodding eagerly. "You're truly a master. Alright, your word is law."

Just then, Luo Feng's phone rang—it was Gu Xuenian.

"Xiaofeng, Seventh Sister is getting off work and heading back."

"Alright, Sister," Luo Feng had initially wanted to introduce the man to Gu Xuenian. But considering the man's low profile, he gave up on the idea.

"Master, can I have your contact information? So I can find you," Luo Feng asked earnestly.

The man nodded and gave Luo Feng his contact information. Satisfied, Luo Feng left.

Watching Luo Feng leave, the man laughed heartily, taking out the black card and planning his future life of luxury.

Encountering a rich fool was incredibly lucky, but encountering a rich fool with exceptional skills, who was unaware of his own strength, was like having the goddess of fortune sitting on his head while wearing underwear and a skirt.

As the two left, they were unaware of the Porsche in the distance, coldly observing everything.

The owner of the car slowly took out their phone, saying icily, "The plan remains the same. Let's begin."
