"Lin Tian, where did you just go?"
As they reunited, Luo Bingning scrutinized Lin Tian from head to toe.
She secretly breathed a sigh of relief, seeing that Lin Tian didn't look beaten up.
"I just went out for a bit, needed to use the restroom."
Lin Tian explained, not mentioning what had just happened.
"Lin Tian, I just received a call. There's something urgent at the company, so I won't be back for dinner. You'll have to fend for yourself."
Luo Bingning said hurriedly before rushing off. As the boss of the company, even though it was Sunday, there were some matters that required her personal attention.
"I need to make money quickly too."
Lin Tian went to a store and bought a mask that suited him.
This mask covered his entire face, and he could even use internal force to change his voice. Even if someone familiar saw him, they wouldn't recognize him.
Opening the HuaYin app, Lin Tian blocked and deleted his dozen or so followers.
Then he enabled all privacy settings.
HuaYin app was the largest short video platform in China, with massive traffic, and top broadcasters were making a fortune.
Lin Tian didn't have such high expectations; earning some pocket money each month to cover their daily expenses would be good enough for him and Luo Bingning.
After all, isn't having a wife supposed to help you make money?
"Now, which direction should I take?"
Lin Tian pondered.
If he hadn't obtained the erhu skill, he would have definitely focused on outdoor activities or martial arts. Now, he had another option.
"I wonder which direction has more followers."
Quickly, Lin Tian found several erhu players who played quite well and had followers in the millions, while martial arts broadcasters had significantly fewer followers.
This situation surprised Lin Tian.
He had thought that the latter would have more followers.
"Could it be because the erhu is traditional culture and receives support, while martial arts, like throwing knives, can easily have a negative influence on children, resulting in lower traffic?"
Lin Tian pondered, feeling that this possibility was quite likely.
"These erhu players play quite well, but they are far from master level. Developing in this direction should attract quite a few followers."
"Earning a living shouldn't be a problem."
Lin Tian made up his mind to start with this direction.
As a martial arts broadcaster or outdoor broadcaster, he would need to travel around and consider content, but with the erhu, he could just sit down anywhere and play a tune.
"Let's buy an erhu first."
Half an hour later, Lin Tian arrived at a musical instrument shop.
"Customer, what instrument are you looking to buy?"
The shop owner greeted him.
Lin Tian saw several erhus hanging on the wall and asked, "Do you have any erhus below two thousand that are still of good quality?"
Cheap erhus could be bought for a few hundred yuan, but with Lin Tian's skill level, such erhus would be a disservice to him.
As for expensive ones, he couldn't afford them.
"Customer, of course we do. But if you're a beginner, I recommend buying one for a few hundred; there's no need to waste money."
The shop owner said sincerely.
Lin Tian smiled, "Shopkeeper, you're running a business, yet you're still advising customers to buy cheap ones. Aren't you interested in making more money?"
The shop owner shook his head, "Of course I want to make money, but I don't want good things to be wasted. Ninety-nine percent of them won't be used more than three times after being bought. Some will buy them and claim there are quality issues just to return them."
Saying this, the shop owner sighed.
He loved traditional instruments, but traditional instruments were declining nowadays.
"Shopkeeper, I know a bit about the erhu."
Lin Tian smiled.
The shop owner nodded, "Then let me recommend one to you. Customer, take a look at this rosewood erhu. The wood is dense, the sound is clear and bright, and there are no dead spots. It's suitable for graded competitions."
"This one originally costs over two thousand, but it was returned and now it's priced at fifteen hundred. If you want it, you can take it for fifteen hundred yuan."
Lin Tian said, "Shopkeeper, can I try it?"
"Of course."
Lin Tian took the erhu, and the shop owner's eyes lit up. From Lin Tian's actions, he could tell that Lin Tian was knowledgeable.
"Clearly, he's never touched one before, yet it's as if he's been playing for decades."
Lin Tian marveled inwardly.
He sat down and started playing slowly. He didn't display master-level skills, but he was much better than the average erhu enthusiast.
On the second floor, an old man in Tang suit arrived at the top of the stairs.
He listened quietly, occasionally showing admiration in his eyes.
After the piece ended, the old man clapped, "Young man, I didn't expect you to have such high skills at your age."
"I wonder who your teacher is?"
The shop owner quickly said, "Customer, this is a senior. He's a professor at the university and extremely knowledgeable in erhu."
"Sir, I don't have a teacher."
Lin Tian stood up and shook his head.
The old man was even more surprised. Without a teacher, at such a young age, he had already reached this level of skill—it was truly remarkable.
"Shopkeeper, I'll take this one. Could you please pack it up for me?"
After playing a tune, Lin Tian felt that the erhu was decent, and the shop owner wasn't just trying to deceive people.
"Of course, of course."
The shop owner took the erhu and quickly packed it into a backpack.
"Young man,
let's exchange contact information. If you have any difficulties with the erhu, feel free to contact me anytime. My surname is Wu."
The old man eagerly suggested.
"Alright, Mr. Wu."
Lin Tian added Mr. Wu's contact information before leaving.
"Mr. Wu, this young man is amazing. I've been playing the erhu for twenty years, and my skill level is about the same as his."
The shop owner exclaimed.
Mr. Wu shook his head, "Your skill level is not as good as his. He just got this erhu, so he hasn't fully displayed his skills yet."
"With his talent, given time, he might become a master."
The shop owner's eyes were filled with astonishment.
He hadn't expected Mr. Wu to have such a high opinion of Lin Tian.
"Let's go."
Mr. Wu walked away.
Neither Mr. Wu nor the shop owner knew that Lin Tian was already at the master level.
He had just hidden his true strength.
Half an hour later, Lin Tian arrived at a deserted spot by the river.
Instead of immediately recording a video, Lin Tian began practicing. After three rounds, he was already quite proficient with the erhu.
"A tune for everyone: 'Horse Racing.'"
Putting on his mask, Lin Tian started recording a video. Soon, the piece ended, and Lin Tian checked the video. The recording quality wasn't particularly good, but it was sufficient for short videos.
"'Moon Reflected on the Second Spring,' for everyone."
Lin Tian quickly started recording another video.
After recording ten videos in a row, Lin Tian finished. Uploading two videos per day, these would be enough for him to use for five days.
"I hope they get recommended. I don't have the money to buy traffic."
Lin Tian muttered to himself before quickly uploading two of the videos.
The videos were quickly approved.
The first-level traffic pool was three hundred views, and the big data system quickly began pushing Lin Tian's videos to people who liked this type of content.
If these three hundred views didn't generate positive data, it would be over.
"Why is he wearing a mask while playing the erhu?"
Ling Xue was an erhu enthusiast who came across one of Lin Tian's videos.
Seeing Lin Tian wearing a mask and the poor data, she was about to swipe away, but curiosity made her stay for a bit longer.
